Review: The Sea Spinner

I’m officially obsessed with this world, and honestly, The Sea Spinner really delivered on that "sequel tension" I was hoping for. Rhya’s growth in this book is so satisfying to watch. She’s finally stopped letting everyone else call the shots and is actually owning her power as a wind weaver.  The elemental magic system feels even more expansive here, and the introduction of King Soren and the city of Hylios added such a cool, misty contrast to all the fire and vengeance we got in the first book. It’s fast-paced, high-stakes, and the world-building is just top-tier. ALSO, love triangle had me pulling my hair out! Penn is such a brooding, "burn it all down" mess, while Soren is basically the calm, understanding alternative, and the back-and-forth left me feeling just as conflicted as Rhya. Love triangles really aren't my favorite thing, but it was hard not to get caught up in this one! The ending was absolute fire (and water), and I’m already dying for the next...
