I purchased these cable because they look durable and have different colors. I use a 6 port Sharper Image charger so this would be great to identify my devices. I have a Mophie battery pack, LG Android phone, IPhone, iPad and wireless earbud. Out of the package,the red cable does not work but the other 4 work. I don’t think it is worth the hassle of trying to return 1 out of 5 or finding out if they want all 5 returned. It would require purchasing a shipping package and driving to a courier service. Today is October 12, 2018. I contacted them via email to find out replacement options. I will update this review with my customer service experience. It took them about 30 minute to respond and I do not have to ship the defect cable but will have to wait about 2 weeks for a replacement to be shipped from China for AILKINDirect. Two weeks for a replacement is a bit excessive so I am returning for a refund.

    These are great. Fast chargers, long rope-type cords. Reinforced right where the head meets the cord, which is where most chargers get a short because of the stress of pulling/ pushing them in and out of device ports. These won't bend in that spot, so I suspect they will last longer because you know these kids... no matter how many times you tell them not to, they always use their devises while they are plugged in. haha Got this set for my devices because my son had already bought a set for his devices that take a different size plug. We like both sets. And lots of value for the $$. Love the colors--everyone in the family gets their own color. haha

    I have purchased these chargers multiple times. They seem to work well enough great price and for a good quality product. I have small children that use them. So they or usually the culprit to thier destruction. They do wear out over time as well. But I like them. And will continue to purchase them. The length of the cords or awesome.

    I needed to replace multiple charging cables because the ends on my old ones were worn out and no longer staying in place in any of my devices. These braided cables are well made, don't tangle up and stay firmly in place on all of my devices. They are the perfect length to be able to continue using the device while charging, when necessary, and the device does not overheat. I have only been using them for a couple of weeks now but have been completely satisfied with them and expect them to last a long time. It's nice having enough chargers for multiple rooms, plus my briefcase and my car. Would definitely purchase again.

    Love the '5-pack", colors, length, price. Works fine with my Moto & turbo charger.

    But - Eight months in, 3 of the 5 cables don't work at all, one has to be "wiggled" and held in place, and the 5th is still new in bag, about to be put in rotation. They've probably each lasted about five months. Not sure if I am going to get another 5-pack or not. Price is right but I wish they were a tad more durable. FYI, the cable that sits calmly in the house at my charging station has the same symptoms as the ones that I wind up and take with me traveling, so I don't think that it is that I'm hard on them!

    It's interesting that some reviews are having disastrous results and others are working solidly. I have to wonder what the failure rate for cables across the industry are. Is it normal for a certain portion of cables to fail? Is it just part of the normal distribution for cables, just like you expect a certain percentage of fish from a fish store to pass away due to who knows what?

    In any case, I can only report on the ones I myself got. We have cats who love to chew cables so we get these braided ones which the cats are less likely to chew. These work perfectly for us. All five work fine. We use them frequently and have never had any problem. I'll report back if we do have an issue, but so far we're very pleased with them.

    Nice and long. Seems to be made very well, much better than i was expecting. Time will tell how this will stand up but if each on lasts a few months then it is money well spent.

    The braid is tight and feels strong. the connectors are good as well. feels a bit stiffer than normal cables but that is a good thing IMO.

    I used it a few times. Plugged in my son's phone to charge on my nightstand. A few minutes later I smelled burning circuits. My wife didn't smell it. I was sniffing around, my laptop, tablet - then my wife saw smoke coming from my sock drawer. This cable (the silver one, but that's not relevant) had short-circuited internally and was melting into my sock drawer. I grabbed it - the entire cable was too hot to touch. I grabbed the phone and yanked it out. If my wife hadn't noticed that, I very well may have been running to put out a fire in my sock drawer.

    The end of the cord melted into the phone's microUSB port. It completely mangled the end of the cord.

    That kind of quality failure isn't something you do once and hope it doesn't happen again. It feels well made, but it short circuited. Hope that doesn't happen when someone's not at home. The rest are going in the trash. I have never, ever had anything like this happen with a USB cable, or any other kind of connector cable, ever. But, I just had smoke in my bedroom because of this cable.
