Friday Flowers

Sunflowers seem to be plentiful here in Northern California this October. I’m loving seeing them in the grocery store floral departments. Walking in to the store and seeing these cheery flowers offsets the shock as you pay for your groceries when you leave.

Monochrome Monday

Somewhere in Mexico many moons ago. So many moons that I don’t remember where it is. So many interesting places there and so many stone sculptures. A country filled with art and history.

Waimea Canyon, the Grand Canyon of the Pacific, on the island of Kauai. Truly awe inspiring, and worth the trip to see it.

Sunday Travel Shot~Beginnings

In another life, first travels and beginnings in photography. Warming up for future solo travel. Never on a ship, though, preferring to keep my feet on solid ground.

The attached photograph is in Puerto Vallarta on an early morning from a hotel room balcony with a cup of coffee in hand. This, I thought, is the perfect way to travel.

Monochrome Monday~Gifts

A coffee set that was a wedding gift from a cousin in Mexico so many years ago. It actually came from the cousin’s friends, and to this day I don’t understand the generosity. But then again, this is how the culture works in Mexico.
