Production Line Tiles
…you can make lots…
…and lots…
…(in both sizes)…
…I recommend taking the few days it takes to dry them in the sun…
…because…
…they don’t go so well in the oven…
…(note….the smell of burning paper mache lingers for as long as it takes to sun dry the tiles…and it isn’t a pleasent smell)…
Way Way Back
….when I was making the cross bones for the skulls…
…I was in possession of vast quantities of paper mache clay…
… and…whilst watching a some anthro’ doco’ about mud brick making…
…I realised that I could mass produce octopus tiles…
.
…and that would explain…
…why I have now cornered the market for paper mache octopus tiles…
..(note…cardboard tile pressing frame in top pic’ was just to test the theory…made less bendy set immediately after these “trials”)…
Has Anyone Noticed
…that I left a gap…
…in the centre of each octopus thing from yesterday…
…for their lttle faces to go….
…spent hours making these “push-faces”…
…so that I could rotate the octopuses (or the “push faces”) to “unlock” four different “ups” from each octopus….
…four different “ups” for each mirrored octopus equals 8 different octopuses…
…which should be plenty…
…(this did NOT work…too fine for the process…and ultimately it takes almost zero time to create the faces with the end of a pencil…should have listened to those Russian space designer guys in the first place)…
…(fun making then tho)…
