Last BB game of the year
Charity’s team was a very quiet bunch of girls. They liked being together and their final record shows they also liked playing together, 6-2. Their final game was closer than many of the previous ones, but they pulled it out.
Marking your man…Upwards style.

Protecting the ball and backing in.
Here’s video footage of what you see just above.
One last bit of offense.
A Good Game… Basketball
Charity has played a series of good games. The result has been a series of wins. And though they have dropped 2 games, both were very hotly contested. Here are a few shots and a video or two.
Let’s play a little offense.
Now for the play.

Charity’s 10th
Well, Charity is finally officially 10. We celebrated for over a week starting before her birthday when Mimi and Papa came in town to take her to dinner, then for pizza and movies at home ALL DAY LONG on her BDay, then shopping with mom and sister with gift cards Grandma sent, and finally her cake night. Did I mention Halloween is in there too?

FIRE GIRL
FIRE GIRL is a very sad , beautiful billiantly written story. This story is different. I loved Fire girl because it was helpful and life like. I cried a lot by the end of the book. On a one to ten scale, I would give it a ten.
Charity’s Poem
Charity wrote this poem for Language Arts last week. Enjoy…
The wind chimed the breezes
while the trees chimed along
the sun settles with them.
People rustle through the meadow,
Kids picked flower as they went
They move toward the evening.
Sun settles
Sun rises
in all sizes.
Small mouse nibbles on a crumb
while singing a summer song
and fall asleep again.
The Funnest Field Trip outside of Austin!
Our Field trip to Jasper: September 14, 2007
We went to Jasper where there was a man made lake. We looked for all types of rocks. Mimi, my Grandma, helped us decide which rocks we should take home. I found a beautiful quartz that shined in the sun. With tons of sand we made a big sand castle. There is also tons of moon rocks. The thing that I enjoyed most is the fish I saw swimming near me. We had to go home the next day. I miss Jasper. I hope we go back.

Books, books, books

So absorbed in the new book, Charity almost forgot that tomorrow was school! Well, actually, that was more than OK too.
