Cut It Up 368 - Fall Mice

Welcome to Cut It Up Challenge 368!

The theme for this challenge is thankful, grateful, blessed.

This is a Thanksgiving theme - our Thanksgiving in Canada is over now but there are always occasions to be thankful! 

I used an adorable Lawn Fawn stamp set of fall mice. I stamped, coloured and die cut the mice and leaves. The pumpkins and the fence were die cut and inked. I also inked a scalloped border and stencilled clouds on the small rectangle. Everything was adhered to create a cute autumn scene. The small sentiment was stamped in the top corner.

Feel Better Soon

  This card is from the 30 Minute Card Making Stash Dash. 

The parameters were as follows: Card Style: surprise inside, Colour: yellow, Embellishment: circle, Technique: colouring and Occasion: thank you or get well soon.

I chose to make a pop-up inside my card. 

The images were stamped, coloured and die cut. I arranged some of them on a vellum circle on the card front and added a strip sentiment underneath. 

Inside the card, there is a small pop up with another bunny and some additional images. I realized after the fact that I forgot to put something in the hands of the inside bunny... that will be resolved before I use this card!

Half Circles Card

 I have wanted to make a card like this for ages... other commitments just kept getting in the way. 

This one is inspired by one I saw on Pinterest. 

I stamped the sentiment in the bottom corner and then splattered the background with silver paint. I found the centre point and drew a few lines with a black marker. The circle was cut in half and arranged on the front. I added flowers and leaves and some silver gems before adhering the front to a silver mat and then a white card base.

Floral Spray Just for You

 This is another card made as part of a virtual crop. 

The challenge is shown below.

I used my favourite set of dies - Be Bold Blooms - for my card. 

I used patterned papers for the outer panels. I also added thin gold strips on the edge of each panel. A small sentiment was stamped near the bottom and I splattered the background with gold paint. The flowers were die cut, inked and assembled to reflect the sketch.

Christmas Trio

 This sweet card was created for a virtual crop challenge. 

The challenge is shown below. 

I stamped and coloured three small images - Santa, Mrs. Claus and Rudolph. The pieces were trimmed to uniform sizes and arranged on a green background. I added a sentiment above plus two tiny poinsettias.

Warm Winter Hugs

 This is another card created for an online crop. 

The challenge is shown below. 

I chose a winter theme. The colours of the background papers drove the colours for the snowmen's hats and scarves. I embossed the light green cardstock behind the panels and embossed the sentiment before adding a few iridescent sequins.

A Frosty Hello

 This card was created for an online crop - the challenge was based on an old Mojo Monday sketch. 

The challenge is below. 

I chose a blue colour scheme and matted every piece of patterned paper. The snowman image was just the right size to fit in the smallest piece. Silver ribbon was placed across the card and I adde a few clear gems.

Hero Arts Holiday Event 3

 This is the third and final post for the Hero Arts Holiday Event. 

The first card is so bold and colourful - and it also has glitter paste on one of the stencilled colours. The wreath is a perfect place for the tiny Santa to rest. 

The second card is a Pop and Twist card - easy to make but it is a big surprise when it is opened to reveal four panels of images.

Hero Arts Holiday Event 2

 This is the second post for the Hero Arts Holiday Event. 

These two cards look so simple on the front - designed that way on purpose. When the cards are opened, there is a cool pop-up feature in each. One has a sentiment stamped below the pop-up image.

Hero Arts Holiday Event 1

 I recently did the Hero Arts Holiday Event and made a few cards... the first two are in this post. More posts to follow... 

The first card is a double shaker card. There are two shaker openings and the sentiment pieces were placed partly over the shakers. That Santa image is TINY - the pieces are among the smallest I have ever assembled! 

The second card is 5x7 in size and has four panels of images or sentiments. There is a lot happening in the background - white snowflakes stamped on the panels backs and a stencilled background, for example. I love the blue colour scheme!
