Happy Birthday London!
Did you notice the year long gap between my last two posts? Â My oldest three have birthdays in April. Â I posted on the first two birthdays but never did acknowledge London’s. Â Let’s just pretend for the moment that we are back in April of last year and I will wish him a Happy Birthday now.
The Evolution of Birthday Cakes
First off, I’ve never taken a cake decorating class.
Second, I no longer bake with white flour, white sugar, or food coloring- (cake #1 and #5 did use a little).
Since my boys have loved tractors and monster trucks and I love chocolate, we’ve compromised nicely over the years.
But each year the birthday cake request becomes more intense. This year I had to find natural food colorings for the earth cake, and I must say I was mighty impressed with the results.
So bring it on, now I can make anything!
Religious Twist on Easter Egg Hunt
I’ve been wanting to find a way to bring more focus to the Savior with our Easter celebrations. Check out this great idea.
Isaac
To my sweet, silly boy: Happy Birthday! I love you Isaac!
Asia
Saturday was Asia’s birthday, and today marks the day she came to our family. Â It’s been a delightful first year with her, the only improvement I could request is that she would sleep through the night again. Â We love you Asia!
