| RPG looking for Hufflepuffs |

 allinplaid is a highly active, well balanced, motived and friendly community looking for people to play Hufflepuff students. It is set in the Marauder Era, offers a fun and fresh first person format, and includes both Hogwarts students and the adults of the Wizarding world in equal parts.
Currently we have open: Bertha Jorkins, Caradoc Dearborn, and Florean Fortescue. All of these characters are taken from the books but their characterization is up to you.
If you're at all interested, come take a peek. Who knows, you might have been waiting you whole life to be dressed all in plaid.

So I'm new to Livejournal and found this community and I couldn't help but join because comeon! forget pureblood supremacy, hufflepuffian supremacy is so much better! It is also so obviously the only house worth being in, and the only one that has a hope of ruling the world! Seriously! In the race to world domination Gryffindor and Slytherin will erupt in one of thier infamous fights for first place and by doing so obviously come last, and Ravenclaw will have its head so immersed in a book that it wont even know that a race is going on! So we will win, all the time being loyal and hardworking! Score! ... so anyway with all that taken care of I was wondering if one of you nice, hardworking, loyal people would show me around? Pity on the new girl?

Hey All -
I'm a new member of the community, and have been a super-hardcore-prideful Hufflepuff for a long time. I haven't written any essays or anything, but I wanted to share the lyrics to a song I wrote for Hufflepuff house... the song is about how it's important to see everyone as equals (a view promoted by Helga Hufflepuff.)

Please excuse any spelling errors as it is 1:00 am as I type this. Many thanks to my pal, Julie Washington of The Cleveland Plain Dealer, who got sneak peek tickets for myself and other friends.
Before I walked into the theatre, I would’ve said "Goblet" was my favorite HP movie, but now "Phoenix" might just take its place. Having Englishmen direct film versions of these very British books seems like a good idea. And I feel this is the first time the movie makes perfectly clear that the action is set in England (for example, we see downtown London three times).
The pacing was excellent (lots was cut to do this), the young actors seem to be improving with each film (with the possible exception of Emma Watson), what few changes there were made sense and the director did his damndest to make sure Muggles (viewers who haven’t read the books) could keep up.

A suggestion - could the Hufflepuff page be shut down for 24 hours starting just before the final book goes on sale? A spoiler was posted here for HP6 and took a lot of the fun out of reading the rest of the book for me. We could all ignore our Live Journals for a few days, but shutting it down and making posting briefly impossible removes the "fun" for the jerks who like to spoil the fun for others. Judging by the article below, there’s a couple of them.
