our little sadie

sadie-may
{hailey here, cecilie’s sister: she asked me to update everyone}

cec is doing good.
other than the emergency c-section,
a possible blood transfusion,
being in labor for 24 hours,
having to watch her little girl work SOOO hard to breath
+ then having to watch sadie be life-flighted.
she is really doing good considering.

not much to say but that our little sadie is a strong little girl.
she was lifeflighted the night after she was born b/c of problems breathing.
they are now thinking her lungs aren’t quited developed yet.
she will have help breathing for the next 3 days
and if all goes well she will be able to come home in a week or two.

she has been a strong fighter + was meant to be here right now.
we {love} you so much sadie!

ps. please feel free to comment as i’m sure cec will appreciate any encouragement.

Megan Update

Megan has had fun things going on too. She enjoyed cheerleading camp this summer where she cheered at a football game and did a halftime show.

dsc04554She loved cheering!

Megan started Kindergarten and was also excited to ride the bus to school. She enjoys her new independence and having her own friends.

dsc04575This is her on the first day of school. She was so excited to say the least. Since school started she has loved doing her homework. She has been singing around the house new songs. She loves library days and P.E. days.

dsc03776She started going to a new gymnastics gym that has taken some time to get use to since we loved FLIP’s so much. She still bounces, jumps, and skips just as much as she use to.

Adam Update

Adam has had a crazy couple months.  He started in a new soccer league. He really enjoyed playing on a larger field and with more players. One of his best games he was goalie and saved two shots and later in the game scored a goal.

He was so excited to go to a new school this year and ride the bus.  (Luckily he still thinks it’s cool.)  It takes him 15 minutes to walk about two blocks from the bus stop home because he walks through the whole neighborhood dropping all his friends off.

Adam’s first day of school.

He turned 7 in September and got a new bike. It’s a lot bigger then the one he had before so it’s taken him a while to get use to riding it.

Blowing out the sparkling trick candles.  It was funny. It took him awhile to realize they weren’t going out.

He lost his first top tooth. It was quiet the dramatic event. Tying the string to the door and around his tooth. I held on to him so he wouldn’t move and brave Megan slammed the door closed. It was a success on the first try! I told him he could slam the door when Megan had a loose tooth.

He also enjoyed a fun fishing trip with his Dad and friend Kason.

Cecilie Update

The past couple of months I have been really busy around the new house. More house means more to clean.  My mom moved in with us shortly after moving in to the new house, so it has been so nice to have another set of helping hands around the house…however 2 weeks ago she had surgery on her ankle and can’t walk on it for 3 months plus. It’s been challenging to say the least, but we have had a lot of help from my new ward and my sisters. (THANKS!!!)  Here are a couple of pictures of things I’ve done this summer.

dsc04558BHS 10th year reunion! It wasn’t as bad as people make them out to be.

img086YES…if you’ve seen one you’ve seen them all. We are expecting #5 in May! Even though it was a HUGE surprise to us the kids and Josh and I are really excited. We named “it” the phantom baby since it took a lot of blood work, ultra sounds, and doctor appointments to figure out if this baby was really there.  We’re happy to know everything so far is healthy with the baby and me. (Except the pregnancy sickness. Hopefully not too much longer!)

Josh Update

The past couple of months Josh has been enjoying all the new house projects (painting) and  some fun hunting and fishing trips.  Here are a couple pictures.hunting-3-08

Don’t you love how when the guys set up the camera they didn’t notice the giant weed right in front.

We’re BACK!

Since our move it’s taken me a while to get back into the groove of blogging and I finally got internet yesterday! SO… there is a ton of things to catch up on the move, birthday parties, summer vacations, cute back to school pictures, lost teeth, and Halloween. So I guess I better get to it… hopefully sooner than later.

{PARTY!!!}

We had a birthday party for Megan’s 5th birthday. Before I knew we were moving I had already promised her a birthday party with her friends. I was lost for ideas and space in my house with all the boxes pilling up. So from a great idea from my friends 4th of July party I decided to rent a huge blow up waterslide called THE NINJA. It was from Jump-N-Jim’s and we had a BLAST!

Megan and her friends played on it for almost 2 hours straight. There were a few that didn’t want to have anything to do with it, and others who couldn’t get enough of it. After 1 bloody nose and a couple of bonked heads I think it was a success. They were all cute & fun girls to have over.

After the party we tried to invite all we could to enjoy the slide with us. Most of my friends got the pictures since I couldn’t get enough of the slide myself. I had so much fun I can’t wait until we can do it again…and we definitely will do it again. We’ll have more photos to come!

{UPDATE}

Since the hot weather lately we’ve been enjoying our days at my Aunt Beverly’s house. She has an amazing pool that she has so kindly let us practically take over. It has been nice since our house has been slowly filling up with boxes.

Other than that the only thing I’ve done lately was run my first race. My sister called me on a Wednesday and talked me into running a 5K that Saturday. No big deal really, I just have never done anything like this and got really nervous. I then talked Josh into running it with me, even though he hadn’t been running for a couple months he agreed. We got Nana to come over at 6am to watch the kids when we headed off for the race.

My sister Amanda was running the 10k and I tried to take pictures of her as she was coming towards the finish line.

Don’t worry I’ll never take up photography!

When the morning was done we had all finished our races and to my amazement I made it across the finish line alive. Thanks to my sister’s little nudge and a great husband to run by my side the whole time I might try another one.

{July Card Ideas}

Enjoy your summer and make some fun and cute summer cards!

Payton’s B-day Party!

Payton’s birthday came so fast that we had to pull something together fast. (Really we almost forgot!) We invited family over for cake and ice cream and just played in the back yard with some blowup baseballs.

As we opened gifts I forgot how it’s all about the paper this year, and not the toys. Although he made away with more than needed of course.

He obviously enjoyed the cake and didn’t take anytime diving into it.

If you couldn’t tell it was a Chicago Bear cake. (Notice the nice C on the tummy and the life like face! He was going to just tear it apart anyway.)

After everyone left we took the balloons down. Payton got a hold of one and would not give it up for anything…

not even to take a bath!

THANKS!

To everyone who came with such short notice!
