Strange Houses, Uketsu
Strange Houses opens the story with a floor plan and a question: why would anyone build a room with no doors? From there, we are travelling into a tight, efficient mystery that feels like reading a Kindaichi chapter. Genuinely fun read if you like detective novels.
6 Years Later
Six years ago, March 2020, WHO declared COVID-19 a global pandemic. I remember reading about it on X (it was still called Twitter back then!) and relaying that information to my team. We had already started doing WFH at the time. Six months later, Jakarta went quiet under PSBB. Then it got loosened up, tightened again, back-and-forth, until the COVID-19 pandemic was finally declared over, three years later. A lot has passed since then. This post is some kind of retrospective on some aspects of my life that have shifted.
