Living History

Aloha Lāpule and welcome November. We are truly living in a remarkable historic moment, and that’s not just hyperbolic rhetoric. President Trump must be blessed by God’s divine intervention to keep the schedule he’s on. Constant, nonstop campaigning has to take a toll on the man, but he’s like the Energizer Bunny: he just keeps going and going. Will it be enough to save the Republic?

My prayer is that Americans will tune out the political noise, stand firm in their convictions, and make their voices heard peacefully at the ballot box. Stand for freedom. VOTE.

On Friday, October 30, 2026, the White House published a new video titled “Hello America,” introducing “America.gov,” a new program aimed at reducing the size of government and improving efficiency. The mission is simple: make life better and easier for everyday Americans. Promises made, promises delivered.

Today, at President Trump’s final campaign stop in Kansas, he quoted the Michigan Muslim Senate candidate, Muhammad El-Sayed, who called America “the House of Satan.” Trump rebuked El-Sayed, saying, “America is the House of God. A party that hates America cannot be allowed in the U.S. Senate.”

I cannot remember a time when a president spent so much time campaigning for candidates during a midterm election. Nor can I remember a time when America faced threats from enemies both foreign and domestic, including threats from within our own government.

I can remember as far back as when President John F. Kennedy was assassinated. I remember watching the news of Robert F. Kennedy’s assassination in Los Angeles, Martin Luther King Jr.’s assassination in Memphis, Tennessee, and the riots surrounding the 1968 Democratic National Convention in Chicago, thinking that our nation was falling apart. Today, I see that same troubling pattern of violence and communist extremism following the modern Democratic Party.

The more things change, the more they stay the same. The history of the Democratic Party, from its inception in 1828 as a champion of states’ rights and limited federal government to its ideological transformation in the 20th century, reflects profound political change.

It moved toward a larger federal government, expansive social welfare programs, and increasingly contentious racial divisions surrounding civil rights. In the 21st century, Democratic Party has become increasingly anti-American and pro-socialist, while elements of the party are descending into dangerous ideological extremism.

This is not just political squabbling. Democrats are threatening more political violence and lawfare against a sitting president, his family, friends, and supporters if they regain power. They have vowed to flood the borders with illegal immigration, pack the Supreme Court, add two new states, and abolish or defund police departments. A repeat of Pedo-Joe Biden’s regime.

It’s times like these when the media salivates over an “October Surprise.” This time, however, the surprise came in November when Michigan Democrat Senator Haley Stevens endorsed the Republican candidate Mike Rogers. A Democrat endorses a Republican over the Marxist democrat Muhammad El-Sayed. Is it enough to make a difference to save the Republic from Marxist democrat tyranny?

What can we expect based on past elections? If the Democrat is comfortably ahead, expect an early call. If the Democrat is behind in a close race, expect days of counting, shifting margins, and mounting questions before a winner is determined. The longer the count drags on, the greater the concern about ballot harvesting and the integrity of ballots arriving or being counted late.

Ah well, I’m sure the ancient stone writers were much more careful than we are today. Once something was chiseled in stone, there was no clicking “edit.” Today’s elections rely heavily on electronic counters, tabulators, and storage devices, all of which depend to some degree on electricity. That is why I still trust paper. It’s tangible. You can touch it, read it, preserve it, and recount it.

Pull the plug and suddenly all that marvelous electronic wizardry isn’t quite so marvelous. Data can be altered, deleted, or just not recorded. Data can become inaccessible, corrupted, and machines can go dark. The human brain isn’t much different. When the old noggin’ finally goes offline, there’s no reboot button. Such are the limitations of living in a four-dimensional world. MAGA

The Greater Of Two Evils

Aloha kākou, and Happy Halloween. Trick or Treat? Democrats can’t seem to decide which costume fits better: Fascism or Islamofascism. The Democratic Party is mulling over whether the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) or the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) makes for the better campaign pitch. Why choose? Why not have both? After all, this Big Tent party is all about the confiscation of your means of production.

“Abandon Capitalism, All Ye Who Enter Here, and Pay Us Your Fair Share.”

Never mind. We’ll simply take it from you. Problem solved.

Choose one from Column A or Column B. Or perhaps Column C, where we take everything from you. Your choices are: Evil No. 1 or Evil No. 2, as the Ringmaster-Conductor takes center stage and conducts the “Symphony in Blue”.

Halloween’s spooky festivities are in full swing across the Big Island tonight. Whether you’re looking for some last-minute family trick-or-treating or planning a late-night scare, local mainstays near Hilo and Orchidlands Estates have brought the spooky season to life. As for me, I’m staying cozy at home, dodging the occasional tropical rain shower and perchance settling in with a spooky movie.

My favorite Halloween music video.

All Hallows’ Eve, or All Saints’ Eve, is observed each year on October 31, the evening before the Christian feast of All Hallows’ Day. Rooted in centuries of Christian tradition, the observance is a time for remembering the dead, including the saints, or “hallows,” martyrs, and all the faithful departed.

The winter solstice is coming, and who has time to dwell on a season of death when there is so much planning, celebrating, and merrymaking to be done?

Cherish These Moments

The only thing truly free is the air that we breathe. We leave the sanctity of our mother’s womb, emerge into the light, and draw our first breath of life. As soldiers of God’s heaven, we enter this world having received the greatest miracle of all: life itself.

I voted today on my way into town. Only a few more days to go.

I learned this morning that Hawaiʻi’s Supreme Court unanimously sided with two members of the state Elections Commission, ruling that the commission must be allowed to meet publicly again. The court rejected arguments from the Office of Elections that only a chair or a majority of commissioners could convene a meeting.

The ruling described the commission’s duties as significant and “wide-ranging. It investigates and holds hearings on election violations and complaints. After each general election, it evaluates the chief election officer’s performance.”

After five months of resistance from Chief Election Officer Scott Nago, the Elections Commission will finally reconvene on November 12. Commissioners will elect a temporary chair and establish the agenda for the commission’s next meeting.

Freedom Vs. Tyranny

Aloha kākou and Happy Aloha Friday. The final weekend before the general election has arrived. Campaigns are making their last-minute push to get out the vote, but the choice before Americans goes far beyond candidates and political parties. What’s on the ballot is freedom vs. tyranny.

This midterm election is different from those of the past. Conservatives are campaigning on optimism and a belief in America’s future. The left is campaigning on pessimism and fear.

This election will determine our future and the direction America takes. Two very different futures lie before us. For your edification, here are two videos that offer a glimpse of those competing possibilities.

In the first video: Dave Rubin presents a short AI-generated film portraying a dystopian future shaped by Islamist, far-left, and socialist rule. Its warning is disturbing: freedom cannot be taken for granted. The film asks us to consider what America could become if we fail to defend the liberties we have inherited. What is happening in Europe should serve as a warning of what may lie ahead.

Lieutenant Colonel (Ret.) Allen B. West offered a stark warning during a lecture, describing what he called “the four phases of Islamofascism: migration, population, agitation, and domination.” He followed with a provocative question: Which phase is the United States in?

West’s broader argument portrayed political Islam and Islamist extremism as threats to individual liberty and constitutional government. Whether one agrees with his characterization or not, his central warning was unmistakable: when an extremist movement declares its intentions openly, ignoring those declarations can carry consequences. Europe is entering phase four.

In the second video: Marco Rubio narrates a powerful vision of American exceptionalism, reminding us of the principles that bind us together as one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all, and of the enduring promise of America.

America’s founding was deeply influenced by Judeo-Christian values and traditions, but the nation was not established as a Christian theocracy, nor was Christianity designated as an official national religion.

Throughout history, Christianity has helped shape the art, culture, ideas, and institutions of Western civilization. In America, life, liberty, and freedom became more than ideals; they became the foundation of the American experience. Our constitutional tradition reflects biblical values and the enduring principles of natural law, principles not reserved for one faith, but rooted in the dignity and freedom of all humanity.

Freedom is more than the absence of government restraint. It is sustained by an engaged citizenry, shared moral and social norms, personal responsibility, and institutions committed to preserving liberty.

The holidays will soon follow the election. Will we gather in gratitude at Thanksgiving, celebrate the birth of Christ at Christmas, and welcome the New Year with renewed hope for a safe and prosperous America?

The choice is ours.

Hawai’i Has No Elections

Aloha kākou. The 50th state, the Aloha state, has no real state elections. On November 3, 2026, Hawai‘i will go through the motions of holding midterm elections.

There will be ballots, polling places, and the appearance of democratic competition, but the election results has already been effectively decided by an entrenched political party that has dominated Hawai‘i politics since Statehood. Our state’s four electoral votes have been predestined for one party only.

It is the illusion of elections, not the substance of them. The basic guardrails of election integrity are missing. Ballot security, signature verification, voter eligibility, and independent oversight have become little more than window dressing for public consumption.

And instead of scrutinizing allegations of election fraud, much of the local media remains silent, raising the question of whether they are watchdogs of the system or simply part of the fraud.

Hawai’i’s Office of Elections

Mission Statement: To provide secure, accessible, and convenient election services to all citizens statewide.

If by ‘secure’ meaning no ID or signature verification and no one can review the election results. If by ‘accessible’ meaning removing in-person precinct voting polling places. If by ‘convenient’ meaning using drop-boxes and mail-in ballots only. What could possibly go wrong?

When you’re at the USPS mailing a package, the mail clerk will ask, “Does your parcel contain anything liquid, fragile, perishable, or potentially hazardous?” You can mail cash, but it’s highly discouraged.

Are there any protections for mail-in ballots? The short answer is no, election ballots are handled with the strict security protocols as standard mail or cash. You can track your ballot, but that’s about it. Once your ballot leaves your hands at the post office, the chain of custody is broken.

The Office of Elections oversees a nine-member Hawaii Elections Commission. The nine-member commission was created in 2004 to hold hearings and investigate any violations and complaints, evaluate the chief elections officer after the general election and even advise the officer on election matters. The commission, however, hasn’t met since June of 2026. — KHON2 News

The State Supreme Court was asked to intervene after the Elections Commission failed to convene during election season. For months, the elections office has been embroiled in controversies involving ballot tiebreakers, election integrity, and resistance to the Trump administration’s demands for federal voter data. Instead of putting these controversies to rest, the State Elections Office keeps digging the hole deeper. — Civil Beat

Hawai’i’s Supreme Court seemed annoyed with the Office of Elections, asking why the Elections Commission hasn’t scheduled a meeting. I don’t want to say there’s election fraud, but there is election fraud, and the State Office of Elections is responsible for it.

Election Commissioner Ralph Cushnie has been prevented from observing the signatures on ballots on Kaua’i. He’s been the loudest voice, banging the pots and pans and trying to get more people involved in fixing Hawai’i’s broken and corrupt election system.

Every attempt to recount or examine ballots or verify signatures, it seems, runs into the same roadblock: State Elections Chief Scott Nago and the Democrat-controlled state Attorney General’s Office.

No Vote, No Grumble

Distrust of Hawai’i’s election system has become so pervasive that many people have simply stopped voting. Why bother? Nothing will change. After 60 years of one-party Democratic dominance, voter resignation has set in. People have given up believing their vote will not make a difference.

Ironically, mail-in voting was supposed to increase voter participation. Instead, voters have become more disengaged and distrustful. And the proposed solution? Change the system again, this time to ranked-choice voting. Nothing restores confidence in elections quite like making the process even more complicated.

We’re only five days away from Election Day. If you believe in election integrity, make your voice heard. Get involved. Ask questions. Demand transparency. Above all else, vote. Free and fair elections depend on citizens who refuse to sit on the sidelines. It’s your civic duty. No vote, no grumble. MAGA

What Happened To Global Warming?

Aloha kākou. Whatever happened to Global Warming, Climate Change, and the existential Climate Crisis? You know, the doomsday scenario based on the “settled science” that the planet was overheating because of human activity. We pesky surface creatures, inhabiting the planet like a bad case of fleas.

We were told by so-called “experts” that we had only twelve years before the planet goes “kaboom.” We were then scolded by a child activist whom the media described as having a neurodivergent superpower to address climate change and social issues: “How dare you!”

Then there is the the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) that wanted to implement the atrocious 2030 Emission “1.5°C/34.7°F Warming Threshold” Deadline to stop global warming. The “Settled Scientific Consensus” outlining 2030 as a vital “turning point” for global climate action.

Basically, 95% of climate IPCC scientists have demanded that we give up all our First World comforts, cut off the soles of our shoes, live in a tree, and learn to play the flute. These are considered sound scientific methods for saving the planet from ourselves.

Government Grifting

In keeping with the leftist spirit of never letting a good crisis go to waste, naturally, a government agency must be created to address the scourge of climate change. Your tax dollars at work: creating more government to create more work to solve an unidentifiable problem that never existed. You don’t need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows.

Hawai‘i created the “Office of Climate Sustainability and Resilience” (OCSAR) in 2016, becoming the first in the United States to establish an agency explicitly focused on climate change and resilience. And there’s that word again: “resilience.” Nobody seems quite sure what it means, but it sounds important, bureaucratic, and… officially complicated.

OCSAR is the odd couple to *Felix: our local news outlets remind us nightly that Hawai‘i has the best weather on the planet, while taxpayers are simultaneously being looted to fix a nonexistent climate problem. See how this works?

The Climate Swindle

In this legislative game of three-card monte, the taxpayer is the mark. Just how much taxpayers’ money is being spent to manage Hawai’i’s perfect climate? Statewide, Hawai’i’s climate, sustainability, and adaptation initiatives are primarily taxpayer funded well over $100 million annually via two major components:

  • Hawai’i’s “Green Fee” (approx. $100 Million/year). This is the largest source of statewide funding.
    • The Revenue: Paid largely by cruise operators and visitors, this program generates roughly $100 million annually. The Transit Accommodation Tax (TAT)
    • The Spending: In the state budget, these taxpayer/visitor dollars are distributed across 91 distinct projects stretching through 11 different state departments. If you can bury it, do it.
  • General Fund Core Agencies (approx. $10–$15 Million). The state distributes baseline administrative and planning responsibilities across several specialized offices rather than putting them into one large pool. Keep shuffling the lady card around. That’s how the game is played.

And that does not include the $15 billion in separate infrastructure funding that the Hawai‘i Department of Transportation (HDOT) says will be needed over the coming decades to raise, relocate, and protect Hawai‘i’s coastal highways from sea-level rise.

Then there is the Kenyan scammer, Barry Hussein Obama Waimānalo oceanfront property and seawall. Honolulu officials granted a controversial special shoreline permit and state easement exemptions to allow the renovation and expansion of a century-old seawall. Apparently, he gets what others are prohibited from having in the name of climate change.

It’s Big Business For Some

Of course, there are the usual federal funding formulas and matching requirements for rebuilding structures after a disaster. But once the state gets its hands on the federal money, who knows where it all goes? Permits, contractors, insurance companies, inspectors, and layer upon layer of bureaucracy all take their cut. Just look at Lāhainā, Maui, and ask how well that system has worked.

Hawai‘i has some of the best weather on the planet year-round. It used to be called weather. Then came global warming. Now it’s climate change. Whatever the weather does, there’s a billion-dollar scam waiting for it.

So why is there a need for another acronymic government bureaucratic agency? Does the taxpayer really need an OCSAR and *Felix pension fund to pay for? That money could be better used to fund tangible needs, including the emergency repair of storm-damaged roads and bridges, infrastructure, businesses, and homes.

We Can Vote For Better Leadership

Hawai‘i needs common-sense elected officials who are more interested in serving the people than serving big-government interests. The 2026 General Election is scheduled for November 3, 2026, and Hawai‘i has the opportunity to choose new state leadership.

Elect Gary Cordery and Daniel Anthony for Governor and Lieutenant Governor of Hawaiʻi. The change will do you and Hawai’i good.

*Felix is the OCSAR’s odd couple partner for satirical purposes only. MAGA

Optimism Is Persuasive

Aloha kākou. “An pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.”

America is back! But you wouldn’t know it by watching the Fake News Media. The mainstream media told us America was in decline. Meanwhile, new factories are being built, and a new industrial era of technology and manufacturing is sweeping across the nation. The American economy may be the greatest story never told.

We have the greatest economy in the world when compared to other nations. America is the leader in advanced technologies. We lead in the space race, in superintelligence (AI), and our standard of living is higher than that of any other nation on the planet.

We have the lowest poverty level in the world. People come here for a better life, for the best healthcare, and you don’t see people fleeing this nation for other countries. Why, then, are the Marxist democrats so anti-America?

By The Numbers

It’s not all about gas prices, although they are high, they are actually lower than during Pedo-Joe Biden’s regime. Global energy markets are undergoing rapid restructuring, driven by geopolitical tensions. Changes in global energy supply and consumption are boosting liquefied natural gas, coal, and nuclear power generation. The demand for electricity is increasing due to data centers and the need to rebuild our aging power grid.

Here’s the good news. Consumer spending has increased on average 3.8% over quarter by quarter. Retail sales increased over 6.3% year-over-year consistently beating expectations. The projected real GDP growth rate for the third quarter of 2026 is between 3.3% and 3.5% on an annualized basis.

So, if gas costs are so punitive, then why are people still spending?

Business-to-business manufacturing purchases are seeing 15%+ growth. These are numbers not seen since the Reagan administration. Unemployment is at 60-year lows: 4.2%. 72K high-wage jobs were produced. The U.S. economy has added an average of about 69,000 jobs per month in 2026, with total nonfarm payrolls increasing by roughly 776,000 to over 900,000 jobs since the start of the year.

Non-financial corporate productivity increased 3.1%. Corporate profits are up. $150 million was invested in 401(k)s and pensions. Trillions in new investments are flowing across the country. America is the hottest country in the world, a story the media is not reporting.

Optimism Is Persuasive

Throughout our history, American ingenuity and technological innovation have expanded the frontiers of human achievement, strengthened our economy, and improved the quality of life for countless people.

From the industrial age to the digital revolution, every great leap forward has been driven by bold thinkers willing to challenge convention and pursue what once seemed impossible. America put men on the moon and brought them safely back to Earth, not once, but six times. Now we can launch and reuse rockets that land by themselves. The possibilities are endless.

There is evidence that the left is inflicting angst upon voters by keeping gas prices artificially high, either through high taxation or higher energy prices. There are no shortages of diesel or gasoline and no long lines for refueling. Politics is playing a large part in energy costs in America and around the world in an effort to sway the midterm elections.

Gas prices will fall precipitously after the midterms. With the next presidential election coming in 2028, there will be little reason to keep energy prices high. Be patient. Lower gas prices are coming.

When You Come To A Fork In The Road, Take It – Yogi Berra

This future, our future, is what is at stake in this midterm election. If we lose control of one or both of the U.S. House and Senate, then optimism will be poisoned by pessimism. It will slow our progress toward reaching the goal of making America great again.

No one has made money betting against America. However, Marxist Democrats are the pessimists in the ointment. Rather, they are the planners of a wave of violence to intimidate voters over the next two years.

It is imperative that we retain control of the U.S. House and Senate. We are at a fork in the road between American greatness and socialist regression. Get out and vote wisely. Vote for future optimism. MAGA

Crazy Rich Oligarchs

Aloha kākou, Hawai’i’s midterm general election is just over a week away. Today was the deadline for submitting paper voter registration applications or using the online voter registration system. If you’re eligible to vote and have completed your registration forms, then check your voter status. It is your constitutional and civic duty. Remember, Hawai’i has the most unsecure and corrupt elections in the nation.

Election Festivus: The Airing Of Ballot Grievances

There was a Hawai’i Elections Commission Zoom meeting today. The public hearing concerned a proposed administrative rule to clarify how tied elections would be resolved. This year, Hawai’i’s primary election resulted in two races ending in a tie.

The tie-breaker was resolved by placing slips of paper with the candidates’ names inside small plastic eggs. The eggs were then placed in a woven lauhala box and shaken (not stirred). An elections official then opened the winning Easter egg and announced the victor. Democracy, Hawai’i style. As Forrest Gump might say, “You never know what you’re gonna get.”

A Hawai’i attorney stepped in for Hawai’i’s Chief Election Officer, who, for some unknown reason, was absent from this Elections Commission meeting. What was accomplished? Who knows. What are the follow-ups? Your guess is as good as mine. Other than going over the same old ground, election after election, we’re apparently still trying to figure out how to settle a tie.

The full video can be found here. Just another first-world problem in Hawai’i elections.

The Only Candidate Not On The Ballot

Trump is crisscrossing the nation, drawing large crowds as he campaigns for Republican candidates to keep control of Congress. There’s a lot at stake in this midterm election. The economy is coming back to life, and there’s still a lot more to be done to repair the damage left behind by Pedo-Joe Biden’s regime.

Prices are lower than they were in 2024 when Trump took office. Despite what the Fake News Media and Marxist Democrats say, Trump continues to make affordability and his economic record a central part of his case to voters.

If Marxist democrats take control of congress, then this is what we can expect: Democrats have no plan to to fix the economy, lower costs, and improve our standard of living. They have no plans on how to lower the cost of living.

Marxist democrats have something more sinister in mind. They have said they will start congressional investigations into Trump, Elon Musk, and anyone associated with the MAGA organization. Political lawfare as retaliation against Trump’s administration and the American people.

Trump’s economic initiatives are just starting to bring back to life the economy with new jobs and investments in manufacturing and technologies. Marxist democrats have promise to scare off investors from creating jobs in America.

Democrats have said they will halt new factory construction to “save the environment.” Then raise our taxes, reopen the borders to illegal migrants, and give them our taxpayer benefits. Our cost of living will skyrocket again as it did when Pedo-Joe Biden’s was in power. So, vote for democrats if you want to pay more.

Friends In High Courts

Brazil’s election fraud could not have been more obvious. Communist dictator Lula da Silva won the election by cheating. A Brazilian Supreme Court justice, Lula’s friend and former lawyer, ordered polls in the presidential run-off to remain open for two more hours on Sunday, minutes after voting had officially ended at 5 p.m. Brasília time. That was enough time for Lula to steal the election.

This is why Marxist Democrats in this country want to expand the U.S. Supreme Court: so they can rig elections just like Brazil. They know threats and intimidation work to get the Supreme Court rulings they want. And just like Brazil, Democrats will prosecute the opposition party to remain in power.

Marxist Democrats promise persecution, not lower prices. They brag about seizing the means of production, replacing capitalism with socialism, importing more Third World migrants, and replacing the U.S. Constitution with their Communist Manifesto. So, what are we to do?

An American Renaissance of epic proportions is unfolding before our eyes, a profound revival sweeping across the nation. American exceptionalism, economic nationalism, and national pride are surging. Large-scale patriotic events celebrate a return to America’s foundational ideals: life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. American exceptionalism is alive and well. America, don’t dream it. Be it. MAGA

Fragile Friday

Aloha kākou and Happy Aloha Friday. We’re heading into the weekend midterm election finals. Media pundits are bursting at the seams to vomit their political pontifications. Whose sensibilities will be offended over the weekend?

Here’s a riddle to ponder: I look sleek and shiny, a tech-lover’s dream. With a beautiful body and a folding screen. But look at my price tag, and you’ll run out of breath—At two thousand dollars, I’ll starve you to death! What am I?

Do we really have an affordability problem in this country if people can afford a $2,000 phone and still need EBT cards?

Thinking Of Voting By Mail?

We are told that you can trust the United States Postal Service (USPS) to deliver your mail-in ballots. Voting by mail is safe and secure. The science is settled, so watch what you say, or they will call you a MAGA dude, a conservative, or a right-wing conspiracy nut. Conformity to communism. It’s criminal.

A Pakistani Man was arrested by Pakistani police for defrauding the USPS out of $126M. Cybercrime investigators had been searching for Faheem Akram, 33, for weeks, the Associated Press reported. He was running a scam website “LabelsBank.com” that sold over 5.1 million counterfeit postage labels to more than 5,200 customers.

He’s also known as Raj, the tech support guy who says you have a virus on your device and that he needs your credit card and password to remove it.

From The Halls Of Marxist Democrats

Hawaiʻi’s Senator Brian Schatz joins CIA spook and U.S. Senator Elissa Slotkin in persecuting conservative Americans. Schatz admits that when Marxist Democrats regain power in the House and Senate, they will weaponize the government against anyone who supported the Trump administration.

The Soros-paid Schatz says that once they [the Democrats] regain power, they will unleash indiscriminate lawfare on the American people. They seem awfully sure of themselves.

“I’m not very worried about congressional overreach if the President of the United States is Donald Trump.” Schatz said confidently.

These Deep State operatives have been outed by Trump’s administration. They are entrenched bureaucrats who believe they are running the government, not the people elected by the American people.

They have seen their moneymaker, USAID, disassembled and their elected apparatchiks exposed by Trump’s administration. Now they are threatening revenge because they have been cut off from the taxpayers’ money. Thank goodness for Elon Musk and DOGE.

Meanwhile, a Democrat Jihadist is running for senate. Displaying their arrogant smirky sneering grins knowing that white liberal women will swoon over them like flies to camel dung. While their dhimmi bacha boy husbands look on longingly. There’s going to a new line of burqa fashion and niqab accessories after Sharia Law is installed. The question remains: whose sensibilities will be offended first? Or is this midterm election more about the fear of political retribution? If so, by which party?

Democrats have accused President Donald Trump of political retribution and targeting political opponents, yet not one of Trump’s tormentors has been prosecuted.

Threats of retaliation by Democrats if Americans vote differently have reached a crescendo of absurdity. Yet, it has been the Democrats who have actually carried out political persecution of Americans.

Marxist allies of the Democrats are calling for violence in the streets over the next two years of Trump’s term in office. They want to force the administration to invoke the Insurrection Act.

I don’t believe the democrats have the eyes, ears, and hearts of the majority of patriotic Americans. These are fringe groups that are antithetical to American Christian values. Known as the silent majority for decades, they don’t answer pollsters.

These Americans quietly go about their daily business. They are described within the Marxist vernacular as the deplorables and bitter clingers. They believe Americans will continue to tolerate burning, looting, and mayhem in the streets.

Yet, the media and the ruling classes continue to pander to the invisible class as if they know them well. I suppose we will see what happens as we cross into November. MAGA

Midterm Economics

Aloha kākou. There are twelve days left before the midterm elections. Early voting has begun in Hawai’i. Since the economy is foremost on people’s minds, how we vote in these elections will determine the nation’s economic direction over the next two years. A good way to predict the economic future before voting in these midterms is to examine the performance of past presidential administrations. From history, we can decide how to vote.

Twenty Years Gone

George W. Bush’s final presidency years (2001-2009), the economy was in trouble. The nation was falling into a recession. Following the collapse of the subprime mortgage housing bubble, the stock market was in freefall, and the labor market was shedding hundreds of jobs each month.

Barry Hussein Obama (2009 to 2017) was elected for his hope-and-change promise. He implemented winners-and-losers corporate welfare policies and economic wealth redistribution which caused the economy to stagnate. The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) averaged an annual growth rate of just over 2% throughout his two terms as president. Limp-wristed central planning.

Gross federal debt doubled during the Obama’s regime, increasing by roughly $9 trillion due to sustained stimulus spending and lower tax revenues. Obama’s major legislative package, Obamacare (ACA), took over one-sixth of the economy, forced people to purchase a government-mandated product, and created a medical insurance pyramid scheme.

Donald Trump’s first presidential term (2017-2021) enacted economic policies that grew the economy and helped it recover from a lingering ten-year recession. Through a series of tax cuts and deregulatory measures, Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth reached 2.5% in 2017 and 2.9% in 2018, while the unemployment rate steadily declined from 4.7% in January 2017 to 3.5% by late 2019.

This was accomplished despite Marxist Democrats’ attempts to undermine Trump’s presidency through investigations into alleged Russian collusion, the Communist Chinese Wuhan Kung Fu Flu Corona virus, and a rigged election.

Joe Biden’s (2021-2025) regime immediately reversed many of President Trump’s economic policies, including the Keystone XL Pipeline. Biden shutdown dozens of oil refineries and halting natural gas production. Biden’s COVID policies shut down businesses, closed churches, and restricted public gatherings. Biden’s federal spending fueled post-pandemic inflation, increased the national debt, and imposed heavy regulatory and tax burdens on businesses. Americans were persecuted as domestic enemies, while illegal aliens were welcomed as replacements.

Donald Trump’s second term as president (2025-present) is focused on rebuilding a heavily damaged economy and creating a new economic order that puts America’s economic security first.

Today, we are fighting to keep the US House and Senate in Republican hands in order to continue building a new economic and technological golden age. An economy that will bring wealth and prosperity for another 250 years.

Energy Is Economic Lifeblood

President Trump’s second term has been focused on making America’s energy needs independent of foreign sources. This includes restarting domestic energy production, including fossil fuels, nuclear energy, and, where appropriate, green energy manufactured in the USA. His administration has also focused on reopening closed refineries, continuing oil and gas exploration and production, and mining for rare earth materials.

It has taken two years of economic repairs to start seeing the positive effects of Trump’s economic policies. States that have embraced Trump’s energy and tax policies are seeing lower energy costs. Lower costs of living are directly tied to Trump’s energy policies.

States that have not embraced President Trump’s energy and immigration policies are suffering from higher costs of living.

What Are Democrats Solutions?

Marxist Democrats complain about affordability, but what solutions are they offering? What economic alternatives do the Democrats propose?

If the Marxist Democrats win control of the House and Senate, they have promised to undo all the economic gains. We will go back to skyrocketing interest rates, printing more money, and managing America’s decline. How is that a better economic policy?

Marxist Democrats have promised to impeach President Trump again and launch lawfare persecutions against American citizens, repeating the same tyranny that Joe Biden inflicted on Americans. Marxist Democrats have shifted sharply to the hard-left in an effort to impose socialist tyranny on the American people.

This will inevitably destabilize America’s economy, yet it is all that Marxist Democrats are offering voters in this midterm election. How will any of this improve Americans’ lives?

Trump and the Republicans have lowered tax rates, wages are rising, and the economy is moving slowly but in the right direction. We are entering a construction and technology boom, further evidence that the economy is headed in the right direction.

There are twelve days left before the midterm elections. This election is not about Republicans and Democrats anymore. It’s about Patriots versus Communists. Vote MAGA and Save America from Tyranny.

What Is A RISE Bond

Aloha kākou. RISE bonds (Resilient Infrastructure for Shelter and Equity bonds) are a proposed form of Tax Increment Financing (TIF) that Hawaii voters will decide on via Question 2 on the general election ballot on November 3, 2026. Ballotpedia News, MultiState Elections, Corcoran Pacific Properties

Already, it looks and sounds complicated. The definition of “resilience” as an objective is the ability to recover quickly from adverse conditions. That already assumes problems, but problems always occur, right?

Disclaimer

I’m not familiar with RISE Bonds and how they work, so I decided to do a little research into what they are. If I get anything wrong in this post, please feel free to correct me. I don’t know everything about everything. That’s the beauty of being a jack of all trades and a master of none. You’re knowledgeable enough to have an opinion and ignorant enough to dodge accountability.

In conducting my research, I relied on a combination of sources: my general understanding of economics, internet search engines (Google, DuckDuckGo, Bing, Brave, and Yahoo), AI tools (Claude, Grok, Gemini, ChatGPT, and Perplexity) that provided cited sources and attributions, and discussions with a couple of financial planners and stockbrokers. I deliberately avoided including politicians because, well, for obvious reasons.

If the state adopts “resilience” as its primary objective, does that imply that failure is inevitable? After all, resilience focuses on recovering from adverse conditions rather than preventing them. If failure occurs, how does the state intend to continue the program? Ultimately, which way should voters cast their ballots on this question.

NOTE: RISE Bonds and TIF are interchangeable terms.

How Do RISE Bonds Work

  • Purpose: They are designed to fund essential public infrastructure—such as roads, water systems, sewer lines, and utilities—needed for housing and community development, particularly around transit areas like Honolulu’s Skyline rail. Civil Beat, Hawaii OSPD
  • Repayment: Instead of being paid back through upfront developer fees or general county taxes, RISE bonds are repaid using the future growth in property tax revenues generated within the specific designated development district as new projects are built. Pacific Business News, Island News
  • Constitutional Change: Hawaii is currently one of only two states (along with Arizona) that does not allow this type of tax-increment financing. Passing the constitutional amendment (referred by SB 3219) allows the state legislature to empower counties to issue them. Office Of Elections, Pacific Business News, Multistate Elections, Ballotpedia
  • Debt Limits: RISE bond debt would be exempt from standard county general-obligation debt limits. Corcoran Pacific Properties

Proponents vs. Critics

  • Proponents (including state lawmakers, mayors, and the construction industry) argue that developers currently have to shoulder massive upfront infrastructure costs, which get passed on to home buyers and add tens of thousands of dollars to the price of a home or condo. Supporters say RISE bonds can lower housing development costs by up to 30% without raising general property taxes. Star Advertiser, KITV News, Civil Beat
  • Critics (such as opposing residents and tax watchdogs) warn of potential public risk if a project underperforms or economic slowdowns cause projected tax-increment collections to fall short, potentially leaving local governments on the hook. Aloha State Daily, Star Advertiser, Multistate Elections

AI Questions: Based on Hawai’i laws, economic, regulatory, employment, cost of living, cost of construction, real estate values; project RISE bonds level of investment risk; conservative, moderate, aggressive.

AI Answer: Based on Hawai’i’s unique constraints—including a cooling local GDP (0.5% in 2026), soaring construction costs, intense regulatory hurdles, and extreme real estate affordability pressures—the projected investment risk level for RISE bonds leans toward aggressive.

Because these are tax-increment financing (TIF) bonds, their repayment depends entirely on future property value increases within designated districts. Given Hawaii’s volatile real estate dynamics and macro economic challenges, relying on projected future development revenues introduces a higher degree of risk than traditional general-obligation municipal bonds.

The Landscape: TIF Nationwide vs. Hawaii’s Plan

Tax Increment Financing (TIF) is utilized in 49 states and Washington D.C., leaving Hawaii and Arizona as the final holdouts. Because Hawaii’s proposed RISE bonds would introduce TIF for the first time, the track record of other states offers a clear roadmap of structural successes and systemic failures. Center for Equitable Growth, Lincoln Institute of Land Policy

AI Question: Compare other states to Hawaii’s plan, their level of success or failures, and of any states backed out or stayed in of these investments.

Performance, Successes, and Failures

MetricOther States’ ExperiencesHawaii’s Structural Alignment
Primary SuccessesInfrastructure & Growth: Effectively used in states like Missouri and Wisconsin to fund underground parking, transit-oriented density, and basic utilities that cities couldn’t otherwise afford.Targeted Intent: Hawaii’s RISE bonds explicitly mimic this success by targeting public infrastructure surrounding Honolulu’s Skyline rail.
Systemic FailuresRevenue Cannibalization: Many cities abused TIFs by drawing boundaries around affluent, growing areas rather than truly “blighted” ones. In Chicago, a 2026 report found that over 40 years, half of its TIF funds went to affluent or downtown developments, driving up general city property tax bills by 13.7% to cover the deficit.District Dilution Risk: If Hawaii counties use snaking or meandering boundaries to capture existing real estate appreciation, it could starve core county public funds.
Overlying District StrainSchool & Service Deficits: In many states, a city can unilaterally freeze property taxes, which accidentally starves overlapping school districts and libraries of funding.Single Layer Advantage: Because Hawaii lacks independent municipal school tax districts (education is funded state-wide), it avoids the direct local “school funding drain” seen on the mainland.

Risks: Real And Imaginary

No state has completely abolished TIF after adopting it, but several are actively curtailing, restructuring, or backing away from aggressive TIF models due to financial underperformance: California, Washington, South Dakoda.

According to the Tax Foundation of Hawaii there are significant concerns if a development project funded by a RISE bond goes sideways.

  • Taxpayers will still be obligated to pay for the costs.
  • The proposed constitutional amendment specifically exempts RISE bonds from counting against a county’s debt limit.
  • Both RISE bonds and standard county debts are ultimately paid back using real property taxes, they draw from the exact same finite tax base.
  • Tax-increment financing (TIF) has actually been legal in Hawai’i since 1985.

That last bullet point was unexpected, so I asked AI to show me where that law already exists:

Tax-increment financing (TIF) has been legally codified in Hawaii since 1985 under Hawaii Revised Statutes (HRS) Chapter 46, Part IV, Sections 46-101 through 46-112, officially titled the Tax Increment Financing Act. – TIF State-By-State Map

So now the question is; why do we need this change in the Hawai’i State Constitution?

Creative Accounting

I still have more questions, many of which neither AI nor experts can answer with any certainty. However, I now have a much better understanding of the risks and potential rewards of Tax Increment Financing (TIF) and RISE bonds. That understanding, in turn, raises even more questions.

For example, what would be the median price of these homes? What income levels are these developments intended to serve? Where would the homes be located under Hawaiʻi Island zoning regulations? And do the proposed developments comply with the Hawaiʻi County General Plan?

Which contractors would receive preferential treatment from the county or state? Would these developments resemble the subdivisions built before statehood, or would they follow a different model? Would they include infrastructure such as water, electricity, and paved roads, along with recreational amenities and homeowners associations (HOAs)? And would the homes be sold fee simple, or structured more like Hawaiian Home Lands leases?

For A Home Today, I Will Gladly Pay You On Tuesday

Has the county developed a fallback plan if projected property tax revenues fail to materialize? Would construction continue, or would projects be halted? Would property taxes have to increase to cover bond repayments? And what tax contingencies, if any, have been established to protect property owners?

The concept of RISE does not appear in the Hawai’i County’s General Plan. There is no mention of RISE bonds, nor is there any discussion of development financing through such mechanisms. This raises an important question: What other future developments, not contemplated by the General Plan, could ultimately be tied to RISE bonds?

If voters approve Question 2, the Hawaii State Legislature will implement its companion measure, SB 3218. This legislation establishes the baseline state oversight rules that all counties must follow. Under the proposal, infrastructure costs financed through RISE bonds would ultimately be backed by future property tax revenues, raising important questions about long-term taxpayer obligations.

Infrastructure projects, including wastewater systems, water lines, roads, and drainage facilities, would be financed through RISE bonds and repaid exclusively from future increases in real property tax revenues generated within the designated district. – HPR

The actual wording of the 2026 ballot measure explicitly guarantees that all RISE bond debt will be “subject to accountability and oversight requirements as may be provided by law.” In practical terms, this places much of the responsibility for financial tracking, reporting, and compliance on county governments.

To guard against the misallocation of funds and unauthorized cost overruns, both of which have historically affected major local public works projects, the framework mandates transparent post-construction reporting.

Conclusions

In my opinion, this further complicates state and county government by adding unnecessary layers of bureaucracy. In turn, that could lead to even higher property taxes. However, that is unlikely to stop government from finding new and creative ways to increase tax revenues while promising to deliver the finished product later. Whether the program succeeds or fails, voters will ultimately get what they voted for. MAGA
