Composer : Sri Vadirajaru Ankita: hayavadana Book ref : Samagra Dasa Sahitya Samputa On Sri Vadirajaru. 56th composition in this book.
This beautiful composition is a celebration of Sri Hari’s divine names, auspicious qualities, extraordinary deeds, and boundless compassion. Sri Vadirajaru lovingly praises the Lord as Govinda, Gopala, Gopikavallabha, Narayana, Achyuta, Hari, and Sri Pati, reminding us that the Supreme Lord is worshipped through His many divine names and forms.
The pallavi celebrates Sri Krishna as the beloved of the Gopis and the protector who lifted Govardhana Hill to shelter the people of Vraja. It recalls His loving relationship with His devotees and His power to protect those who seek refuge in Him.
The first para praises Sri Hari as Narayana, Achyuta, the Lord who manifests as Narasimha, and the beloved of Sri Lakshmi. His divine deeds are celebrated by Brahma, born from the lotus, and He is associated with the destruction of Tripura through His relationship with Lord Shiva. These references portray the Lord as supremely pure, worthy of universal reverence, and the source of auspiciousness.
The second para describes His majestic movement upon Garuda, His innumerable auspicious qualities, incomparable beauty, purity, and compassion. He is the ultimate refuge for the pure-hearted and the object of reverence for the greatest sages. Above all, He is compassionate toward His devotees and ever ready to protect them.
The final para celebrates the Lord’s radiant eyes, moon-like face, golden garments, beautiful ornaments, and enchanting flute music. He destroys accumulated sins and captivates the hearts of devotees through His divine beauty and music. Sri Vadirajaru concludes by invoking Sri Hayavadana, his beloved ankita, directing the devotee’s attention toward the Supreme Lord.
Sri Vadirajaru teaches us that remembering the Lord’s names is not merely a verbal practice. It is a way to cultivate bhakti, recognize His supremacy, develop humility, and seek refuge in His grace.
Praise Sri Hari through His divine names, remember His compassionate deeds, contemplate His auspicious form, and surrender to Sri Hayavadana with unwavering devotion.
Composer : Sri Vadirajaru Ankita: hayavadana Book ref : Samagra Dasa Sahitya Samputa On Sri Vadirajaru. 320th composition in this book.
This devotional composition is a heartfelt prayer of surrender to Sri Venkatesha, the Supreme Lord Sri Hari. The repeated word Sharanu means “I seek refuge in You” or “I surrender at Your divine feet.” Through this prayer, the devotee praises the Lord’s supremacy, His divine glory, and His compassionate protection of devotees.
The opening charana offers salutations to Sri Vaikunthanayaka, Sri Purushottama, Sridhara, the Lord who rides Garuda, and Sri Venkateshanayaka. These names celebrate Sri Hari as the Supreme Being, the consort of Sri Lakshmi, and the Lord who protects and guides His devotees.
The next charana praises Sri Venkatesha as the primordial Lord, revered by great sages and served by virtuous beings and the Devas. He is the One who can be known through the Vedas and Vedanta, and the One praised by Brahma. The devotee bows to Him with reverence, recognizing His immeasurable greatness.
The final charana celebrates the Lord as the protector of the hearts of Devas and sages and the guardian of His devotees. The prayer concludes by invoking Sri Hayavadana and the Lord associated with the sacred name Om, expressing reverence for His divine and transcendent nature.
The song teaches that true spiritual security comes not from worldly power, but from surrendering to Sri Hari with humility, faith, and unwavering bhakti.
“O Sri Venkatesha, You are the Supreme Lord, praised by the Vedas and revered by the wise. You protect Your devotees and dwell in the hearts of those who remember You. I seek refuge in You alone.”

The very first time I shared this on my blog was back in 2017. During a visit to India, I showed it to my Mom, and I still vividly remember the tears that streamed down her face as she listened. At that time, she had recently undergone a pacemaker implantation, and from that day onward, she continued to recite it regularly.
Over the years, this post has received nearly 360,000 views on my blog, a testament to the timeless beauty and power of this composition. Even today, every time I listen to it, it touches my heart and brings tears to my eyes.
Just today, YouTube unexpectedly recommended a rendition by this amazing singer. The moment I clicked on it, I was completely captivated. Since then, I have been listening to this beautiful composition nonstop. It brought back so many memories and emotions that I felt compelled to share it once again with all of you.
My koti koti pranamas to Lord Rama for blessing me with such wonderful parents, whose devotion, faith, and example continue to guide and inspire me every single day. 🙏❤️

Composer : Sri Vadirajaru Ankita: hayavadana Book ref : Samagra Dasa Sahitya Samputa On Sri Vadirajaru. 284th ugabhoga composition in this book.
Notes from the book : (ಕೀ.
This beautiful Ugabhoga is a grand celebration of Sri Hari’s supremacy, His ten incarnations, and His divine presence worshipped at sacred pilgrimage centres throughout India. Sri Vadirajaru offers repeated salutations to the Lord in His many forms, praising Him as the protector of devotees, the remover of ignorance, and the Supreme Being who transcends the cycle of birth and death.
The Ugabhoga begins by praising Sri Hari’s incarnations, from Matsya, Kurma, Varaha and Narasimha to Vamana, Trivikrama, Parashurama, Rama, Krishna, Buddha and Kalki. Each incarnation reveals the Lord’s divine will and His role in protecting the world, upholding dharma, and guiding beings toward spiritual truth.
Sri Vadirajaru then takes us on a devotional journey through sacred places associated with the worship of Sri Vishnu. He praises Narayana at Badarikashrama, Madhava at Prayaga, Bindu Madhava at Kashi, Narasimha at Ahobilam, Varadaraja at Kanchi, Ranganatha, Rama at Setu, Padmanabha, Krishna at Udupi, Trivikrama at Sode, Govinda at Dwaraka, and Gadadhara at Gaya, among other sacred forms.
These references reflect the rich tradition of kshetra mahima—the spiritual significance of pilgrimage centres and their presiding deities. As the accompanying book note explains, Sri Vadirajaru’s Tirtha Prabandha provides further details about these sacred places.
The composition concludes by praising Sri Hayavadana, the beloved Lord of Sri Vadirajaru, who is worshipped by Sri Madhvacharya and the Madhwa Guru Parampara. The repeated word Jaya expresses joyful adoration, reverence, and surrender to the Supreme Lord.
At the heart of this Ugabhoga is Hari Sarvottama. The Lord worshipped as Narayana, Madhava, Narasimha, Rama, Krishna, Trivikrama, Govinda and other divine forms is the same Supreme Sri Hari. His manifestations and sacred forms reveal His immeasurable greatness, while His devotees approach Him through worship, pilgrimage, remembrance, and bhakti.
Sri Vadirajaru also reminds us that visiting holy places is not merely a physical journey. Their deeper purpose is to strengthen our remembrance of Sri Hari, deepen our understanding of Tattva, cultivate humility, and nourish devotion.
Sri Vadirajaru invites us to celebrate Sri Hari in all His divine incarnations and sacred forms, remember His presence at holy pilgrimage centres, and surrender with unwavering bhakti to Sri Hayavadana—the Supreme Lord who protects His devotees and guides them toward the highest spiritual goal.

Composer : Sri Vadirajaru Ankita: hayavadana Book ref : Samagra Dasa Sahitya Samputa On Sri Vadirajaru. 285th composition in this book.
This composition is a joyful proclamation of the glory of Sri Narayana, the Supreme Lord, who manifests in different incarnations to protect the virtuous, overcome evil, uphold dharma, and bless His devotees. Sri Vadirajaru repeatedly calls upon everyone to celebrate the Lord’s greatness and remember Him as the remover of the suffering caused by worldly existence.
The song recalls several divine deeds associated with Sri Hari’s incarnations: defeating those who stole sacred knowledge, providing nectar to the Devas, appearing miraculously to protect His devotee, carrying the mountain during the churning of the ocean, recovering the Earth, subduing Bali through His Vamana incarnation, and overcoming powerful rulers and demonic forces.
It also refers to episodes demonstrating the Lord’s extraordinary power, His fulfilment of divine responsibilities, and His ability to protect dharma in different circumstances. Through these examples, Sri Vadirajaru celebrates the Lord’s many manifestations and the varied ways in which His divine will operates throughout the ages.
The repeated invocation of “Narayana” is central to the composition. Whatever form the Lord assumes and whatever divine deed He performs, He remains the same Supreme Sri Hari. The song encourages devotees to praise Him with faith, remember His greatness, and seek His protection.
Sri Vadirajaru invites us to look beyond the individual stories and recognize the one Supreme Lord who unites them all. Remembering His deeds should deepen our bhakti, strengthen our trust in Him, and encourage us to live with humility and commitment to dharma.
Celebrate Sri Narayana’s divine glory, remember His many incarnations, and seek refuge in Him with unwavering devotion.

Notes from the book in Kannada:
In this beautiful composition, Sri Vadirajaru glorifies Sri Ramachandra, the Supreme Lord incarnated in the Raghu dynasty, celebrating His divine beauty, extraordinary valour, compassion, and protection of dharma. Through the events of the Ramayana, Sri Vadirajaru reminds us of Sri Hari’s greatness and the power of His divine grace.
The composition begins with joyful praise of Sri Rama’s enchanting face, radiant form, bow and arrows, and incomparable majesty. Sri Vadirajaru marvels that such divine beauty, strength, and auspiciousness are unmatched in all three worlds. He praises Rama as the protector of the virtuous, the refuge of sages, the destroyer of evil, and the remover of spiritual darkness.
Sri Vadirajaru then recalls how Sri Hari incarnated as the son of King Dasharatha in response to the prayers of Brahma and the Devas. As a young prince, Rama fulfilled Sage Vishvamitra’s wishes by protecting his sacred rites. He defeated demons, blessed Ahalya, broke Lord Shiva’s mighty bow at Mithila, and won the hand of Goddess Sita. His encounter with Parashurama further revealed His extraordinary divine power.
The composition next describes Rama’s willing acceptance of forest exile to honour His father’s word, even when Kaikeyi sought the throne for Bharata. Accompanied by Sri Sita and Lakshmana, Rama entered the forest with dignity and compassion. The events involving Surpanakha eventually led to the conflict with Ravana and the rescue of Sri Sita.
Sri Vadirajaru celebrates Rama’s alliance with Sugreeva, the defeat of Vali, the construction of the bridge to Lanka, and the destruction of Ravana’s mighty forces, including Kumbhakarna. Finally, the Devas rejoice and shower flowers as Rama returns to Ayodhya with Sita and Lakshmana, bringing happiness and peace to His kingdom.
Through this composition, Sri Vadirajaru affirms Hari Sarvottama: Sri Rama is none other than the Supreme Sri Hari, who incarnates by His own divine will to protect dharma and bless His devotees. Rama’s life inspires us to uphold truth, fulfil our responsibilities, practise compassion, remain steadfast in dharma, and surrender to the Lord.
The composition concludes by glorifying Sri Rama as the crest jewel of the Raghu dynasty and identifying Him with Sri Hayavadana, the Lord worshipped through Sri Vadirajaru’s ankita.
Sri Vadirajaru invites us to contemplate Sri Rama’s divine qualities, follow the path of dharma, and seek refuge in Sri Hari, the Supreme Protector. 🙏
