It's taken a lot of time and effort, but I've finally gotten my Rogue charts updated (through level 40) for the release of WoW Forever. I'll be taking a break for a few weeks so I can level up and wait for new item data to be released. Once that happens, I'll eventually work on updating my charts the rest of the way through level 60.

I've been contacted by numerous players over the past few weeks asking if I plan to update my site for WoW Forever. I looked into it and came to the realization that I barely recognize this version of "Classic". So much has been altered, removed, added, or pushed off onto a future roadmap of uncertainty.

That's a big reason why I stopped updating my Classic charts for SoD back in 2024 as level 50-60 content was being introduced in Phase 4. Stats on so many items had been arbitrarily adjusted, with countless more items added in each subsequent phase, only for all of that effort to end up wasted when SoD effectively died just a year later.

Forever feels like SoD all over again. Another ride on the old Classic hamster wheel, but with a completely different set of alterations to try and make it seem fresh and exciting. Change for the sake of change it seems, but will that really result in a more satisfying and longer lasting experiment? One can hope...

With that in mind, I've started slowly updating my site for Forever, beginning with my armor charts, and specifically only verified items level 40 and below. You'd be amazed at just how many higher level items in Wowhead's Forever database are missing or have impartial data, so I didn't even bother including those on my charts. I plan on working on my weapons charts next, but that will take more time, since I have a bunch of axes to add to the mix.
