I was a tenant of Buzzalofts Apartments in Minneapolis, Minnesota and I had to move because the elevator was down for an entire month, and before that, it was down for six days the previous month.
I received this letter in the month of June, one day after we had paid rent. So in essence, they managed to get the elevator up and running just in time for rent day on the 1st. And on the 2nd of June, the elevator was out of service again???!!! Shows the fuck shit scumlords get up to because my rent would have gone in escrow with the court if the elevator had been down on June 1st.
Management of Buzzalofts Apartments, a Dominium Management property, sent this letter to whomever was affected by the elevator outage on the north side of the building. On the north side, there was only one elevator. On the south side, there were two elevators and so when there was a power outage in May, the elevators were affected. However, when power was restored, the north side elevator was still out of service. But those who were on the south side still had elevator access, but unfortunately, a tenant’s hand was seriously injured by the elevator.
This lady lost an entire finger due to an elevator malfunction and Dominium Management is refusing to address what their malfunctioning elevator did to this woman.
I was also injured when the elevator was not working because Dominium Management expected me to sit up on the 5th floor with NO access to food, medicine or any of the necessities of life. I contacted Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid, and they agreed to take the case because this was an emergency. An ETRA (emergency tenant relief action) was filed with the court and due to the egregiousness of the situation, an emergency order was issued by the court. Dominium Management had 24 hours to get the elevator back up and running. That did not happen.
I spent a week in the hospital because I was told by Jaime Eberly to call 911 when I needed to exit or enter the building. 911 does not replace elevators and so I tried to get down the stairs with a rollator, and was injured. The paramedics had to strap me in a chair and bounce me down multiple flights of stairs to get me out of the building and to the hospital. I am sitting in a wheelchair as a result today. And although a settlement was reached back in August, I have not received one penny. And Courtney Arthur at Mid Minnesota Legal Aid closed the file because she refused to file the settlement agreement with the court.
In addition to this, I received an email from Jaime Eberly, Buzzalofts Community Manager, asking me for my new address in order to send me the security deposit and this was back in July. I emailed her my new address and as of today, October 13, 2026, I have received not one thin dime and since the Minnesota state statute clearly spells out that if no letter with a breakdown of what deductions are coming out of a security deposit is sent within 21 days, then nothing can be withheld from a security deposit and in fact, the former tenant is to receive double their initial security deposit plus a $500 penalty and interest. Again, I have yet to receive a dime. I also called Dominium Management directly and was told to email the regional manager, Sara Evans, which I did, and again, received no response. I followed up with a phone call a week later and that went to voicemail. Are corporations that hard up that they are refusing to return security deposits? And mind you, I was initially contacted by Jaime Eberly of Buzzalofts back in July via email about returning my security deposit, and so just what is the problem? Anyone care to hazard a guess??!! I’m all eyes.
This is the second scumlord in Minnesota that has tried to keep my security deposit and even though I filed a complaint with the Lawyers Professional Responsibility Review Board, and also filed a grievance against Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid, the board refused to investigate Courtney Arthur, and Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid refused to do anything about the deliberate sabotage of my case. And so I have had to hire an attorney at my expense to get what is owed to me.
Black people in America, do not, and I repeat, do NOT ever move to Minnesota, you will regret it! If you are not from Somalia, Ethiopia, Kenya, Nigeria, or from Central and South America, you are treated like shit in Minnesota. I am finally glad that I got the fuck up out of that racist against American descendants of slavery state, you have no idea! And people think that flaming racism is limited to the south??!!!!! Hell to the NO!!!!

I stayed at the Tropicana hotel and casino and when I went up to my room, to say that I was appalled would be an understatement. The entire room looked like something out of the movie, “The Shining.” And even worse, the bed was on a stand and it slid. Now, that is a no-no for someone with physical disabilities. I had to go back down to the hotel lobby which might as well have been in another city, it was so far away. I even took pictures to show what I was complaining about. I told them that it was a bad idea to put a handicapped person in a room with a bed on a stand and the bed slides. I also asked about the carpet and the fact that it looked like a crime scene. I wanted to know when were they going to finish cleaning the crime scene up. Look at this mess!!
Why would anyone want to stay in this room?

Suffice it to say, I had an accident trying to get in the bed, the bed slid and I ended up banging my knee on the stand and twisting my ankle when the knee gave out. To the hospital I had to go, and once I was released, Tropicana refused to send a taxi to pick me up, nor did they have a wheelchair on standby. When I got back to the Tropicana, I had to go off. Then and only then was I given a different room. Somehow they found another room.

I tried to head off getting injured but they refused to listen, but now they are considering me to be VIP. That is what security told the front desk clerk when they were switching my room. I went from “get on back upstairs, we don’t have any rooms available,” to Ms. VIP! Yeah, well I am going to be more than that. Just you bitches wait for it.
And the homeless are going to party like hell when I call Mr. Tropicana to book a VIP room. And what the hell are you going to do about it Tropicana because after all, we’ll ALL be VIP with a key. 😂 And when I finish suing you bitches, the homeless are going to have a grand ole time of it!

This picture was taken inside the Tropicana hotel and casino in Atlantic City NJ. I was inside The Marketplace where there was a Starbucks, an ice cream shop, and several eateries. Who do you think bought the man some food? When I saw the man take the top off the trash, and proceed to dig through it, opening up food containers, I was too through. He rummaged through containers popping food in his mouth, half eaten sandwiches before I could get to my feet and offer to buy him a meal. And what’s more, this place was packed and yet no one other than me even acknowledged what was going on. The fucking shits in this shit hole called, America,” are in for it.

This person is not waiting for a bus. This person is homeless. There is nowhere to go to escape this because it is everywhere!
I have seen elderly women with such looks of pain on their face as they trudge through the streets, homeless. They still try and keep themselves as clean as they can, washing themselves on the sidewalk in front of everyone because there are no public restrooms. Men have asked me to turn away as they relieve themselves. I have met taxi drivers who have been homeless and who give the homeless rides when they can. Those of us who have been in the shoes of the homeless are the ones who are trying to help.
I have seen so many swollen feet, fucked up gums, bad skin and the like because people cannot take care of themselves out on the streets. The casinos in Atlantic City NJ have barred so many people from their doors, the numbers astounded me. No one cares. Everyone merely assumes that most homeless people are homeless by choice. Meet the ones I know. You’ll learn different.
All I can say for those of you who continue to try and ignore the obvious, in the near future, you are in for a rude awakening.
A world of homeless people, who will be next to join them? And if those who simply look the other way, if you perchance should have the bottom drop out, will those poor lost souls come to your rescue? Absolutely not!
I have it on good authority that as far as the homeless are concerned, you are on your own. They told me to tell you that. Consider yourselves, warned.

But let some poor schmucks who need food assistance, go to the grocery store and they will find that their benefits have been cut off for what amounts to NO DAMN REASON! Oh, my bad! Well, funny thing is, Trump can find money for every damn thing he wants, but when it comes to the American people who need help the most, no money can be found. And the reason why is because Trump is making sure that he and those like him are raiding the hell out of America’s taxpayer piggybank. By the time Trump and his bandits finish with America, there won’t be a damn thing left for anyone!
And with gas prices so high, who can afford to head to McDonald’s to work to receive $7.25 an hour especially since mass layoffs are occurring across all sectors. Meanwhile, more and more people, including children, are going to go hungry.
PHOENIX — The line outside a suburban office building was already 15 people long when Tiffany Hudson showed up with her 7-year-old son cradling his blanket. It was 7 a.m. At the front of the line was a woman hooked up to an oxygen tank who had arrived 90 minutes before the building opened.
A few spots away from in line from Savinksi was Cricket Shiloh Anderson. The 79-year-old said she had been receiving $24 a month in food stamps — a small sum, but one she relied on to help her afford essentials like dairy, soups and rice. But she stopped getting those benefits several months ago, and she wasn’t sure why.

What the hell!!This person was well over the age of 64, and yet still saw her measly $24 in food stamps disappear without any explanation. That is insane! A picture of a mid-April dinner on the USS Abraham Lincoln, shared by a service member with his family, was similarly unappetizing – a small handful of boiled carrots, a dry meat patty and a gray slab of processed meat.
How can anyone be battle-ready after eating that mess? If I was served that mess, I would have thrown it on the floor. I’d have rather starved. And believe me, I have starved; for six days at a time when I was homeless. So, think I would not have turned that down!
Where is ALL of this defense spending going when U.S. troops on warships are given what amounts to a child’s portion of “death on a plate?” I highly doubt that what is depicted above is actual “real” carrots. When you have got folks suited up, and supposedly ready to engage another “made up” enemy, this is what you should feed them? How in the hell can you have a military made up of healthy individuals when they are eating such as what is depicted above? No wonder the U.S. military is having issues with troops who are physically out-of-shape. Look at what they are being fed. But Trump wants to drone on and on to anyone who has to sit up and listen to his tripe, about how the U.S. is the most bad ass military in the world. How so? When U.S. troops are sending back home, pictures of garbage that they are supposed to eat, and even that garbage is not enough to sustain them. They are still hungry to the point whereas their family members are putting together “care packages” to send to them, but those “care packages” are unable to be delivered.
Dan and other military family members worried that their loved ones deployed to the Middle East are going hungry are filling boxes with items they hope could help service members ride out prolonged deployments in the Middle East – homemade fudge, Jolly Ranchers, crossword puzzle books, playing cards, toothpaste, Girl Scout cookies and fresh socks. But mail delivery to military ZIP codes across the Middle East has been indefinitely suspended as of April, and packages in transit now hang in limbo.
This is just sad! And the women on those ships are claiming that they don’t even have enough hygiene products.
After his daughter told him the coffee machine on board had broken down, Dan said he stopped drinking coffee in solidarity with what she’s going through.
When Dan F.’s daughter said hygiene products were running low on the ship, the family sent a care package with shampoo and conditioner, deodorant, toothpaste and tampons, filling every open space with candy and snacks.
They filled the second box with Emergen-C vitamin C packets – Dan’s daughter said she was feeling a sore throat coming on – and clean socks.

Those soldiers don’t have enough deodorant, soap, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner and when they are sick, they don’t even have sore throat lozenges to help or even vitamins. What the hell!
What I am failing to understand is why has there not been another “mutiny” since it appears that another warship had to limp back to a port due to a huge laundry fire that no one can figure out just how it happened?

Well, we know the U.S. troops received not a bit of that lobster, king crab or ribeye steaks since they are eating this crap!And still starving! For the love of!!!!!!
Yeah! I SO want to join the U.S. military!!! 🙄🙄I want to eat a child’s portion of toxic garbage while sitting on a warship in the middle of the ocean for months on end, trying to blockade a blockade, and if I’m a female, I get to bleed all over the place for lack of hygiene products, and oh yeah, my arm pits stink for lack of damn deodorant and my hair is full of lice because I got NO shampoo, oh and did I mention, since I’ve got no toothpaste, my mouth is jacked up! Can you just imagine the stench on ANY U.S. warship! No thanks!!! Again, for the love of!!!!!!This would be laughable, but we’re at WAR!!!
Yep! This one is ALL yours! Step right up and open your very own business here! Unfortunately, there were many before you who thought that they would succeed where others had failed. I cannot mention how many businesses have come and gone from this particular spot. The numbers would astound you, and though I do know that many businesses fail within the first year, that does not account for every single business being unable to remain in business, and this has been going on for years in this spot.
This is another spot that was just abandoned, and they’ve not yet had time to post the sign because the business was only just cleared out.
So, who wants to try their luck here? Want to open a thrift store? A bookshop? A crafts store? If so, try not to put ALL your eggs in one basket because it is more than likely that you too, will go the route of all the other businesses that tried to flourish in these spots, and failed.
Because you see, too much of THIS is going down!
Too many mentally ill, homeless folks out on the streets getting themselves harassed by the police.
From the above picture, you would think that the man was at an airport, going through TSA before trying to board a plane. But usually, you only have to take your shoes off, not your socks as well. For the love of!!!!!! There were three police vehicles pulled up for ONE homeless Black man. Talk about overkill!
SIGH!!! The “slave patrols” are still at it!!
Now for those who are homeless and mentally ill, I cannot begin to try and assist them in how “NOT” to look homeless while being homeless, but for those of you who may become homeless because your business closed for lack of support or you lost your job, I can only offer some suggestions because I have been homeless times too numerous to count.
First, for those who become homeless, but who have an income, and that income just will not cover rent and utilities, etc., get a storage unit. Obtain the smallest storage unit possible. When I was homeless, I rented a storage unit for $20.00 a month, and so I did not have to tote my belongings around every day. Second, purchase a gym membership because you can then shower regularly, and you won’t stink. Believe me, you will know when you come across someone who has been homeless for quite some time, the odor is unmistakable. Third, libraries are great places to hang out during the day, and many of them have extended hours. The libraries that I frequented remained open from Monday through Friday until 8pm. Some are open seven days a week, while others close on Sunday. Don’t forget to search for homeless day drop inn centers in your area. They also offer a place just to relax, do laundry and shower. Some of them offer other services depending on what you need. They also offer a meal.
Whenever I wanted to just spend some “me” time and get a “good” night’s sleep, I would check into a hotel. I’d always try to find a hotel or motel that was not on the expensive side. Unfortunately, many hotels in America come with roaches. When I was last homeless, I happened to be in the DMV area which of course means, Washington, DC, Maryland and Virginia. I remember reserving a room at Woodspring Suites Hotel on Allentown Road in Camp Springs, MD, and I have got to tell you, they called the police on me once I had gone to the room, and saw the roach hell that was that room, I went back to the front desk and demanded my money back. They called the cops on me, and I called Regulatory Services and the Health Department on them. Suffice it to say, I was told to leave. And Regulatory Services claimed to have gone to the hotel and told them to get an exterminator. But if you were to read the reviews out today, the same mess is going down at that hotel which is under the umbrella of Choice Hotels.
I then obtained a room at Days Inn on the same road, Allentown Road, and that too, came with roaches. I then went to Motel 6, the same, roaches galore. I then went to the Quality Inn, and even though the room was antiquated since the furniture looked like it had been obtained at a rummage sale, at least I saw no roaches, and was able to get some sleep.
The next time I sought the comfort of a hotel, I was in Gaithersburg, MD and I stayed at one of the Extended Stay Hotels. The first time was great. The next stay was not so great, roaches everywhere. I then tried yet another Extended Stay, and this one was fine except for the fact that the elevator broke down, and I was pushing a walker and had a room on the second floor. I somehow managed.
But what I mostly did was sit outside of a hospital because there are always comings and goings, and I was not bothered. In Washington, DC at Howard University Hospital, the security guards do not allow homeless people to rest there in the winter even though the place resembles a homeless shelter. The same goes for United Medical Center located in Southeast Washington, DC, which just recently closed its doors, and I say to that, “Good riddance!” If you had observed how they treated homeless people and just people in general, you’d say, “Good riddance,” as well.
Also, since no one is paying bus fare anymore, the homeless can ride the buses until they cease for the night. Post Covid is when America decided to make things more difficult if you are homeless because pre-covid, buses in many big cities would run all night. That changed in many areas. Not to mention, many stores like Walmart and other grocery stores were open 24/7, however, that is not the case now. Not to mention, many stores started posting signs, “No public restrooms.” If you are homeless and out at night, and there are no available shelters, find a park, or other wooded area and just do what needs to be done. Also, some major cities have all-night laundromats.
If you have no income, please make use of search engines to find agencies that offer free hot meals, clothing, showers, and even mail services. They are out there! And if anyone who may be about to enter homelessness, needs some pointers, you can post a comment to this blog, and it will not be published. I hold ALL comments in moderation, and so only MY eyes will see them. Do not be afraid to reach out! Believe me, I do understand that I come across as being a hard ass, or is that “hard nose,” but I am a softy when it comes to helping people navigate homelessness! Take care out there!!!!
