No babysitter!!!?

Standard

Jim and I went on our first date tonight without an adult coming to the house to watch our kiddos. I can hardly believe we did it, but we did! Jake will be thirteen in December, and Isaiah is close to three now. I gave them strict rules to stay inside the whole time, they are frozen pizza, and they had my phone if they needed anything at all, which of course, they didn’t. Other than to send us crazy emoji text messages the entire meal! 🙂

We dined at a restaurant right by the house in case we had to fly home in an emergency. The meal was scrumptious–for me, an entree salad of spinach with poppyseed dressing and topped with Brie cheese and roasted, glazed pecans. Mmm. Jim had a magnificent veal piccata with artichokes atop angel hair pasta.

We might have to do this again before too long!!!

Tea Party Girl

Our sweet five year old loves tea parties–even when they consist of just carrots and water! I look forward to more of these this summer with our extra time. My favorite part of this particular tea party was the hand decorated napkins. 🙂
