Modern Quilting in Vancouver
The Vancouver Modern Quilt Guild exists to enable modern quilters to meet, share, and create.
We are the Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada chapter of the Modern Quilt Guild, and we’re part of the modern quilt guild movement that encompasses over 100 modern quilt guilds in Canada, the United States and internationally.
Since 2010, we have been bringing people together to share ideas, inspiration, work, tips, and techniques—and a love of making.
Our members create modern quilts, pillows, bags, and much more. Beginners and experienced makers are all welcome. Come to a meeting, meet other makers, and join our friendly, fabric-loving community.
Membership
Our membership is open to anyone interested in modern quilting. Member benefits include monthly guild meetings, priority registration for VMQG workshops, retreats, and sew-ins, membership in The Modern Quilt Guild, and more. The best thing about being a VMQG member is the opportunity to connect with local quilt makers, guest speakers, and to geek out about sewing techniques, fabric, thread, and much more. Learn more

We respectfully acknowledge that the VMQG operates across Turtle Island, also known as Canada, located on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and Sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. We recognize and respect them as nations in this territory and their connection to the lands and waters around us.
