I’ve signed up as a 40th birthday present/challenge to myself as my 40th falls on day 2 of the race itself. I don’t envisage cocktails.

I’ve made the decision to try and use my adventure to provide help and assistance for a local Charity based here in the Peak District. ‘Challenge Cancer Through Adventure’ is a small charity set up to give that one big adventure to people diagnosed with cancer. It was set up with by Don Mabbs, amongst others, after himself being diagnosed. Although Don lost his battle I can think of no better way of honouring the man than trying to help the charity he set up for the assistance of others in the same boat.
