Home

Welcome to the Writing, Fighting and Other Stuff website (“other stuff” sounded so much better than “general BS”) the homepage of author and magazine columnist Mark Jacobs. Here, just as the name indicates, you’ll find a mixture of stories, essays, news articles and excerpts from my books dealing with both martial arts and more literary topics, as well as a few catch-all categories. New material will be added regularly so stop back often. And if you like what you see, click on one of the links to purchase my published books (seriously, I’m starving here!). Lastly, the author should not be held liable for anything on this website that might be construed as defamatory, inflammatory, injurious, scandalous, treasonous, blasphemous or an incitement to riot as he may be in need of psychiatric care.

Hello Mark, I’m just getting around to checking out your stuff; being a writer/fighter myself I have an interest in your POV. I followed your link from your Guest Post. I will get back to you again after I have time to peruse your oeuvre.

Just saw your comment at LibraryThing that you took the plunge and started a blog – you won’t be sorry. Not only can you find colleagues and readers with similar interests, you can write here when you’re struggling over that last sentence of the chapter that just doesn’t want to come together. All the best, Ellen

Hello sir. Thank you for your Black Belt Magazine article, “Black and White.”
Sir, have you done any research and/or written about African martial arts?
Thank you for your time. Stay safe.
I pray God blesses you, your family, and your business, in Jesus’ name! Amen.
