The Austin Seven Clubs’ Association (A7CA) is an umbrella organisation for Austin Seven clubs and is active in providing services to the worldwide Austin Seven community and encouraging the ownership and enjoyment of the Austin Seven motor car, which was produced from 1922 to 1939.
Formed in 1968, we work collaboratively in the interests of our owner-clubs, their members, and the wider Austin Seven community. Most of the Austin Seven clubs worldwide are a member or associate member of the A7CA.
The Association is owned by the member clubs and it is they who propose and vote on all major decisions. One club-one vote ensures that all are equal within the Association, regardless of the number of individual members of a club.
The Officers of the Association guide and advise the member clubs but can only act upon instructions from the member clubs. It is an unusual arrangement but it works very effectively. A delegate from each member club attends business meetings, which are held quarterly and the minutes of the meetings are made publicly available.
The Association owns and manages the Austin Seven Archive, a wonderful collection of A7-related memorabilia, historic photographs, documents, artworks and trophies. Many of the items have been kindly donated, some have been purchased, and the work of conserving and documenting the collection is a substantial and ongoing undertaking. A large proportion of this fabulous resource may be viewed online, free of charge.
To fund its activities the Association produces a high-quality quarterly magazine, in the style of the original Austin Seven handbooks. The magazines are available through the member clubs of the Association.
