Make Algebra Meaningful with Bootstrap

For Grades 7-11: Students want to know, “When am I ever going to use this?”. Bootstrap offers many answers! Functions make game characters move. Ratios and coordinates are used in designing flags from around the world. Inequalities keep game characters on the screen. And students can put it all together to program their own video games using a language specifically designed to reinforce math learning.

Integrate Bootstrap:Data Science into the classes you already teach!

For Grades 5-12: Our hands-on, project-based lessons cover both statistics and computer science standards. Teachers implement our mix and match modules into everything from Middle School Math to Algebra 2, History, and AP CS Principles classes. We also offer a complete full-year stand alone Data Science curriculum.

Infuse Algebra 2 with Data Science!

For Grades 10-12: Your students deserve to understand quadratic, exponential, logarithmic and periodic relationships as powerful tools for modeling and making sense of the world around us. Modernize your Algebra 2 course with Bootstrap’s inquiry-based approach, infusing core content with Data Science.

It's time for students to look behind the curtain and understand how AI works (and doesn't!).

For Grades 6-12: Explore common machine learning tools using a variety of techniques that make sophisticated concepts accessible to students.

Build a strong foundation for Algebra with Bootstrap:Expressions + Equations!

For Grades 4-8: Use a powerful visualization tool – Circles of Evaluation – to introduce equivalence, commutativity, associativity, distribution, variables, exponents, and absolute value, giving students a strong foundation to build on for Algebra. Most modules include opportunities for kids to code. Great for making middle school math rigorous and fun!

Enhance your students’ programming and math skills with Bootstrap's Game Design offerings.

For Grades 8-12: Designing games is a highly engaging opportunity for students to connect math and CS learning goals with their backgrounds, experiences and creativity. Our materials are carefully aligned, applying and assessing specific learning outcomes for Algebra (inequalities, linear and piecewise functions, coordinates, and the distance formula, etc.) and CS (data structures, events, etc.). Can be offered as a standalone elective or integrated into existing AP CS Principles or Algebra courses.

Enhance understanding of Physics with computational modeling

For Grades 9-12: Use computer programming as a key tool for building models of the physical world and spark your students’ interest in STEM for the rest of their academic careers. This module is developed in partnership with the American Association of Physics Teachers, the American Modeling Teachers Association, and STEM Teachers NYC and is aligned to Physics First curriculum.

What is Bootstrap?

Bootstrap reimagines math education by integrating Computer Science (CS), Data Science (DS), and AI concepts into mainstream subjects. By highlighting the underlying CS, DS, and AI concepts that arise in core classes, our materials connect learning across the school day and help students master the skills they need to succeed in cutting-edge degree programs and jobs.

A+ professionalism all around at Team Bootstrap

The Bootstrap staff are incredibly clear, responsive, and knowledgeable. Joy is the best Zoom presenter I have ever had the pleasure of working with. She runs a tight ship (Pyret pun entirely intended). She made the entire experience incredibly accessible and beneficial. A+ professionalism all around at Team Bootstrap.

Students should know about Data Science in this day and world

I think, pedagogically and philosophically, that teenagers should know about data science in this day and world and should understand how it affects their lives. I think that's important, and you can do it in a civics context or a history context, but I think people talk a lot about data science, so I think it's important for them to understand what it is and how it affects their lives.
