The book gave me just about what I expected: a comical light read.

And it described so many scenarios that all of us working stiffs are faced with on a routine basis! Very entertaining, and gratifying to know I'm not the only one experiencing being dumb employed.

Many of the short comments in this book read like the commentor was stretching to make up/recall events at bad jobs. It's not funny, and many of the 'stories' are just short paragraphs. There are certainly many dumb jobs out there. THis book could have benefited from some professional editing and more content. If you must read it, go to the bookstore, grab a coffee and spend 15 minutes flipping through it. All done.

Brought it to work and our HR person saw it, asked to borrow it and hasn't returned it yet. Apparently they have been using the quotes in their weekly HR group meetings!

Cringe and take comfort that your 9 to 5 isn't the worst one out there. A perfect gift for that whiny Facebook friend, compatriot in your career - but just not your boss.

I picked this book up at this cool emporium. It looked old, but it was actually just published. i thought it would be like any other "cool" book, but it was actually pretty entertaining. i got it for a friend who just lost her job and it made her laugh. totally worth it.

    Crappy book.

Every, short paragraph of a story, is followed by "I'm Dumbemployed".

A lot of it is just people complaining about normal stuff.

Talk about a way to de-stress after coming home from a ridiculous job. We all have them. Or have had them at some point in our lives. This was a great gift to give to all my coworkers so we could commiserate together and laugh our butts off.

The other reviewers have pretty much summed up all my thoughts, so I'll make this short. The book is a laugh out loud read and oh so very true (sadly), and the charts sprinkled throughout just add to the hilarity! This is a must-have!
