Very rare combination of Golden Topaz
crystals with Aquamarine, Quartz, Albite
and Microcline!
The combination of Topaz with Aquamarine is very rare and only occurs in a
small area where
the
Topaz zone overlaps the Aquamarine zone. I've seen less than a dozen of
these scarce specimens
in 30 years of searching and this represents one of the few with more than two Topaz
xls. All are
terminated
and gemmy and sit atop a surrounding cast of Quartz, Albite, and a large
Microcline.
Locality: Shigar Valley, Skardu District, Baltistan, Gilgit-Baltistan,
Northern Areas of Pakistan.
Measures: 8.3 cm by 16 cm by 9.5 cm in size.
