Take Two will combine the operations of Jack of All Games with its own distribution subsidiary, Alliance Inventory Management. The deal was made in exchange for 2.75 million shares of Take Two stock, and the transaction is expected to be completed by the end of the month.
"The acquisition of Jack of All Games is the final step in Take-Two's efforts to create a full service, domestic, interactive entertainment distribution source that can manage the entire life cycle of a published product," said Ryan Brant, president and CEO of Take Two. "The breadth of services we now provide, which include frontline release management, budget and used game retail programs, and affiliate and private label services create a 'one-stop-shopping' source for our retail partners that we believe is currently unmatched."
