Why has our species created a situation that makes possible the concept of failure? Why can't we be more like Pontoon, and never even consider it?

The Straight8 challenge is to shoot a cartridge of Super8 and make the soundtrack without seeing the final film until the premiere. Failure is built-in, and as a result, failure is not strictly possible.

Pontoon, our favourite 'chicken', was born with a disability which would always ensure she stayed at the bottom of the pecking order. Yet her disposition, her ability to take everything in her stride, acts as a lesson for a filmmaker whose equipment seems intent on sabotaging his project...
