Rude Dude Studios
Welcome to Steve Rude’s Studio! This Patreon is the working studio behind Nexus. For more than four decades, Steve has been building the world of Nexus with pencil, ink, and a lot of stubborn love for traditional comic art. What you see here isn’t a highlight reel — it’s the day-to-day process: pages being drawn, ideas being tested, stories finding their shape. Every Saturday at 1:30 PM Arizona time, Steve goes live to draw, talk through his process, and work in real time. It’s not a polished show. It’s an open studio. You can watch on YouTube at: youtube.com/steverudethedude What you’ll find here This is where we share the things that don’t fit on social media: In-progress Nexus pages, thumbnails, and layouts Process notes, sketches, and reference material Figure drawing, composition, and storytelling as Steve actually uses them Early looks at upcoming projects, including the ongoing Nexus work Some people are here to learn. Some are here because they love Nexus. Most are here for both. Either way, this is a place where you can watch the work happen as it’s being made — not after it’s finished. There’s no pressure to keep up. Drop in when you want. Browse what’s new. Sit with a page or two and see how it comes together. We’re glad you found your way here. — Steve & Jaynelle
