We’ve received a report of someone presenting themselves as a SPCA volunteer and asking for personal information. We’re looking into it, and we want you to be aware.
What SPCA will never ask you to do
- Share your NRIC number, bank details, or your portal password — with anyone, including us
- Collect personal or financial details from members of the public on our behalf
- Discuss your volunteering through a personal email address or messaging account that isn’t ours
If someone approaches you
- You don’t have to share anything. It’s always okay to say you’d rather check with us first.
- If something feels off, note what you can — time, place, roughly what was said — and let us know.
Ask the person for their Volunteer ID
- Call our hotline to confirm that they are actual volunteers and are acting on behalf of SPCA.
Reporting it
Email us at [email protected] or call +65 6287 5355. Nothing is too small to mention — several small reports often tell us more than one big one.
Thank you for looking out for each other, and for the people who trust us.
