What We Do

Around 450,000 youth are connected with the juvenile justice system each year. Most already live at the center of the poverty, abuse, and violence that produces trauma, distress and division in our communities. Involvement in the justice system further disrupts their lives, educations, family connections. They exhibit higher rates of trauma than any other youth population in the country.

We connect with these young people and forge relationships that introduce hope, offer healing, and create pathways to change.

What We Offer You

A space for you to  find training, materials and resources  and discover how to support youth in your community.  Working together, we can reach every youth in every facility.

Together.  Reaching Every Youth, Every Facility

No single ministry or organization can reach all the youth in lockup. Working together, this unprecedented number of ministries, churches, and individuals is committed to reach every youth, every facility.

Youth who are involved in our juvenile justice system are often out of sight and out of mind.  But they are not out of reach. Their lives matter.   We know that there is hope and a future for them -- even when they have lost sight of it.

Building a new future doesn't happen overnight.  We walk with youth through every step of their journey, providing ongoing support and resources that begin while they are in lock-up, continue as they return to their communities, and follow through as they become self-sufficient, productive members of their communities.

What happens while youth are lncarcerated?

What is our response when our most vulnerable population - children - are living with abuse , neglect, poverty, violence? Too often it's incarceration. Our justice-involved youth show the same rates of PTSD as war veterans and exhibit higher rates of trauma than any other youth population in the country.

See what happens when trustworthy adults offer hope, help and healing.

What about when they return to the community?

In some states, 80% of young people who get arrested will get arrested again. This statistic alone tells us that we can’t incarcerate trauma. More trauma simply creates more trauma. Without intervention, children caught in the system eventually become adults caught in the system, perpetuating a cycle that seems impossible to break.

See what happens when they discover a new vision for their lives.
