Abdele Market

One of the cultural things to do is go to a Friday market which I equate to a flea market. We were looking at T-shirts and found one that was from the Store Support Group at JCPenney! It was only $1 and I almost bought it, but took a picture instead.

Jordanian Tradition

Mansef is a Jordanian dish that is served at weddings and other special occassions. It is rice and lamb with a yogurt sauce. The traditional way to eat it is with your hands. My neighbors invited me over when they had guests for mansef. Fortunately the women got to eat with plates and forks before the men dug in!

Easter Sunrise Service

Sunrise Easter service was held on Mt. Nebo. In Deteronomy 34, it says that Moses climbed Mt. Nebo and the Lord showed him the whole land...the land that was promised to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. The Lord said "I will let you see it with your eyes, but you will not cros into it".
