30 weeks! 10 more weeks to go! :-D

Almost 13 weeks pregnant. Really hoping that my energy comes back and that this awful sick barfy feeling goes away soon!

I've been working out since I ended my job on 9/1. I've lost a grand total of 3 pounds, though that seems to fluctuate according to my eating habits. I currently weigh 153 lbs, way more than my pre-pregnancy weight of 129. I've been a mother over a year! I read somewhere that 1 in 5 breastfeeding women have difficulty losing weight. This could be me. Or it could be all that stress. There is still some residual stress as my income is non-existant but it is still less stress than had I kept my job-if that makes any sense.

My daughter had her first birthday. What a special day. My God, do I love her.

Putting in my official letter of resignation at my job on Monday. Official last day will be Sept. 1, 2010. I hope I get that new job! Yikes!

So yesterday I finally got a chance to use my beautiful cloth diaper stash. At $20-25 a diaper, this is exciting and a little scary! Did I make a good investment?



So the g diapers are a little of a pain. They inevitably get pewps on the sides of the plastic pant. I tried flushing one-not a good idea with 1920s plumbing! I think that the flushing pertains to commercial settings.

The bum geniuses leak because she isn't big enough around the leg. Wait two more pounds.

The tiny tush elites work great. Bulky, but no problem. Haven't tried the fuzzi buns yet. . .

The story of my daughter's birth begins in the early morning hours of Friday, October 9th. I had been having contractions for over two weeks and I was feeling them off and on throughout the night. These were nerve wracking and irregular and I wondered if I would ever get to the real thing. However, at around 4am I noticed blood in the toilet. Unlike what I was used to, light pink or brown, this was bright red and more copious. I decided to take a shower but as I washed myself, I thought that I better check with the nurses' line and just to be sure. The nurse was concerned and told me to come into the hospital.
