I am lost on tofz.org! What should I do?
Just click on the yellow logo (the tofz triangle with the camera...), this will lead you to the homepage, anytime! By clicking on the yellow section names (like "urban_art", "Paris", etc..) above each tof or thumbnails page, you'd get anytime to the thumbnail page of this section. clicking a tof will lead you to the next tof if there is one in the serie, or to the homepage if it's the last.

Je suis perdu sur tofz.org! Que faire?
Clickez sur le logo jaune (le triangle tofz avec l'appareil...), cela vous conduira à la page d'accueil, n'importe quand! En cliquant sur le nom d'une section ("urban_art", "Paris", etc...) en jaune, au dessus de chaque tof ou page d'imagettes, vous arriverez directement sur les imagettes de la section correspondante. Cliquer sur une tof vous ammènera à la tof d'après, si il y en a une dans la série, ou bien à la page d'accueuil si elle est la dernière.

I want to say something about a specific tof! What can I do?
Just click the "comment !?" link under that tof, enter your name and what you want to say in the popup window, and send it! It will now be displayed under the tof. thanx!

Who is behind tofz.org?
I (jz) take all the pictures by myself.
I did some code tweaking too, helped by Vince, Alex and Damien...
- Christophe did the original PHPGraphy script.
- Morgan did that great design.
- Matt provides me with hosting and bandwidth on the aEGIS cORP machine.
- Everyone else helps me by commenting, supporting me, and using my tofz.

Je (jz) prends toutes les photos moi-même.
J'ai un peu bidouillé le code aussi, avec l'aide de Vince, Alex et Damien...
- Christophe a fait le script original de PHPGraphy.

Using the tofz? What are the distribution terms?
You can copy the photos, modify them, and even use them in anything you
want, as long as you respect the terms of the Copyleft,
and specifically the Free
Art License.
Basically you just have to:
- Specify the origin of the tofz (giving my name and website adress)
- Apply the same terms to the derivated product.
That way my tof will stay Free
and everybody will have the same Freedom. Nobody can get it with money and
keep it for himself.
puting a mention like:
"(original) photo Copyleft jz - http://tofz.org"
will be good. (puting the logo with it would be cool! ;)

Réutiliser les tofz? Quelles sont les modalités de distribution?
Vous pouvez copier, modifier et réutiliser les photos de la façon
que vous souhaitez, du moment que vous respectez les termes du Copyleft
et particulièrement de la Licence
Art Libre.
En gros, vous avez juste à:
- Spécifier l'origine des tofz (donner mon nom et l'adresse de
mon site)
- Appliquer les mêmes termes de distribution au produit obtenu.
Ainsi
la tof restera Libre, et tout le monde conservera ces mêmes Libertés. Personne ne peut se l'accaparer
par des procédés commerciaux.
une mention comme:
"photo (originale) Copyleft jz - http://tofz.org"
fera l'affaire. (mettre le logo avec serait classe! ;)

"FAL" *or* "Creative Commons by-sa"? What's that complicated dual-licensing about?
Dual-licensing is here so anyone can choose an appropriate license for integrating my photos in his work. If you want to integrate a photo from me in a Creative Commons project, you shouldn't be forbidden to do so just because it's licensed under the FAL. Copyleft is about sharing and i wouldn't want to refrain this by contract matters. Practically it doesn't change anything on a traditional Copyleft licensing scheme. If this causes trouble to you or raise any other question, please let me know.

"LAL" *ou* "Creative Commons by-sa"? Pourquoi cette double-licence compliquée?
La double licence sert à ce que chacun puisse choisir une licence appropriée pour intégrer mes photos à son travail. Si vous voulez intégrer une photo à moi dans un projet Creative Commons, vous ne devriez pas vous interdire de le faire sous prétexte qu'elle est diffusée sous LAL. Le Copyleft est avant tout un esprit de partage que je ne souhaite surtout pas entraver par des histoires de contrats. En pratique, cela ne change rien par rapport à un schéma de diffusion Copyleft classique. Si cela vous ennuie ou vous fait vous poser des questions, j'aimerais beaucoup en être informée.

Yes i am! I really believe that commercial relationship harm harmony between people.
I think that digital technologies allow Information to propagate at no
cost, and that it's its only purpose. I really like the idea of being
useful to people, and free of any commercial pressure. I am sure that
sharing is the right thing to do.

Well, I hope you'll be happy with it and take time to do useful things

Why make a donation ?
tofz.org is completely Free and i hope it will be able to stay like this
forever. it's free as in "free beer" because you don't have to pay for the tofz, even in hi-resolution...
but more important, it's Free, as in "Free Speech", because nobody tells me
what to do, or forces me to do things i don't want to do, using money, or
some other kind of pressure. By making a donation you encourage this way
of running for a website, and help me doing what i love to do! :)
If you make a professionnal or commercial use of my tofz, and earn money with it, and feel like
you want to pay me on this... well... this is the way to do it!

Gratuit, car vous ne payez pas pour les tofz, même en haute-resolution. Mais tofz.org est aussi et surtout Libre,
car personne ne me dit ce que j'ai à faire, où me force à faire de choses que
je n'ai pas envie de faire, en utilisant de l'argent, où quelque autre forme de pression
que ce soit. En faisant une donation, vous encouragez ce mode d'existence pour
un site web, et m'aidez à faire ce que j'aime! :).
Si vous faites une utilisation professionnelle ou commerciale de mes tofz, et gagnez de l'argent

How to make a donation ?
There are different ways you can help me:
- you can use Paypal
if you *really* want to... but it sucks alot. (it charges much and is said to be not as reliable as it should... and not that helpful with customers...
- you can send me a check by regular mail.
- you can send me money by regular mail (it's not very safe though...)
- you can send me anything else you want like a postcard, or a CD, a plane ticket, an invitation to a party, or RAM.... :)

Vous pouvez m'aider de plusieurs façons différentes:
- vous pouvez utilisez Paypal
si vous le souhaitez *vraiment*... mais ça pue vraiment beaucoup (ils facturent beaucoup, sont réputés pour ne pas être aussi sûrs qu'ils le devraient... et ne sont pas très aidants avec leurs clients...)
- vous pouvez m'envoyer un chèque par la poste.
- vous pouvez m'envoyer de l'argent par la poste (ca n'est pas très sûr ceci-dit...)
- vous pouvez m'envoyer n'importe quoi d'autre, comme une carte postale, un CD, un billet d'avion, une invitation pour une teuf, de la RAM.... :)

How to best view the tofz?
You can calibrate your monitor: You should adjust the contrast and
brightness settings of your monitor so it correctly displays the differences
between the 16 shades of gray of that bar, and so the white seems white, and
the black well... black.

Vous pouvez calibrer votre moniteur: pour cela, regler la luminosite et le contraste de votre ecran
pour qu'il affiche correctement la difference entre les 16 teintes de gris
de la barre ci-dessous, que le blanc ait l'air blanc, et le noir... bah noir,
justement.

How do i properly put a tof as a desktop background?
It's quite simple: Click on the (+) between the arrows down a tof. It'll lead you to
the hi-resolution version of it. Now click the right-button on the hi-res
and choose "set as wallpaper". You may need to edit your wallpaper preferences so
the tof won't be stretched or tiled. (right button on the desktop /
properties / wallpaper...)

Comment mettre correctement une tof en fond d'écran?
C'est très simple: Clickez le (+) situé entre les flèches, sous une
tof. Cela vous conduira a la tof en haute-resolution. Votre curseur placé au-dessus de la photo, d'un clic droit ouvrez le menu contextuel et choisissez "utiliser comme papier-peint", ou "etablir en tant qu'element d'arriere-plan" (un truc
comme ca..) Vous aurez peut-être besoin d'éditer les préférences
de votre fond d'écran afin que la tof ne soit ni étirée ni répétée.
(bouton droit sur le bureau / propriétés / fond d'écran...)

How do i correctly save a tof for reusing it?
Do as in the previous answer, but select "save as" instead of "set as
wallpaper", when right-clicking the hi-res.
