The first eight digits of decimal numbers from 0 to 7 used for Octal number system. Therefore the base of octal number system is represented by 8.

Given :

Octal Value = 5248

To Find :

Decimal Value

Solution :

Octal Value = 5248
= 5 x 82 + 2 x 81 + 4 x 80
= 5 x 64 + 2 x 8 + 4 x 1
= 320 + 16 + 4
= 340

Result :

Decimal Value is 340.
