    WHAT IS THIS?
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------
This is an adaption of my Euphoria Editor (EE) for the Linux platform.
As can be gathered from the pre-alpha status, this code is a hack from
the original EE editor, and is likely to Crash and Burn. Use at your
own risk. Save early! Save Often!

    NEW FEATURES
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------

        Alt+B Region Selection
        ------------------------------------------------------------------
The DOS version was able to poll the keyboard for the SHIFT, ALT
and CTRL state. This is missing in the Linux version. As a result,
the code can't tell the difference between an arrow key and a
        Shift+Arrow key.

To get around this, the Alt+B activates the text block selection
mode. This is a bit hacked, but seems to work ok.

    MISSING FEATURES
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------
Many features of the DOS EE editor are missing, for various reasons.
It is my hope that, as RDS adds more functionality into Euphoria/Linux,
they can be added back in:

        No Mouse
        ------------------------------------------------------------------
The DOS version was able to poll the mouse for status; Linux can
only get events. As a result, it's quite likely that events will
be dropped between the slow refresh.

Ctrl+C Is Not Safe To Push
        ------------------------------------------------------------------
The DOS version read the key queue directly, and was able to remove
the Ctrl+C key from the buffer before Euphoria read it. In the
        Linux environment, I can't do that. As a result, Ctrl+C (and Ctrl+C)
will bring the program to a complete halt.

        No Floppy Drive/Hard Drive Detection
        ------------------------------------------------------------------
The drive detection routines were dependant on a DOS interrupt
which is not available under Linux. I haven't had a chance to
change the drive names to their Linux equivalents, either.

        No Graphic Characters
        ------------------------------------------------------------------
Since it needs to run on non-PC hardware, the Linux version doesn't
display the extended PC graphic character set. I've substituted
normal characters for the graphic characters, but it looks a lot
        uglier.

        No Bright Background Color Attributes
        ------------------------------------------------------------------
In the DOS version, I called a BIOS interrupt to coherce the screen
into showing bright background colors (instead of blinking them).
Linux doesn't support this bright background colors.
