	Node - Nils's Own DatabasE
	Nils M Holm, 1997-2003

See the file LICENSE for conditions of use.

Node is a small and easy to use database program which I
have once written for a local church community. It runs on
DOS, FreeBSD, Linux and some other systems. 64x18 text mode
is supported on HP1000CX (and HP200LX) palmtop computers.

	FEATURES

	- Configurable views
	- Comma separated values import, export, and merge functions
	- Variable field size
	- Report writer with template editor
	- Loadable color sets

Node is a program for maintaining small databases efficiently.
In order to keep database indices in memory at run time, sizes
	are limited as follows:

	Max. records per database 1024
Max. number of fields per record 16
Max. number of bytes per record 1024

	INSTALLATION

To compile 3S on Unix, a T3X compiler is required, which can
be found at http://t3x.org/t3x. Do use Release 7 of the compiler!
After installing T3X, running "make" will compile the program.
	No installation is required.

On DOS, just copy NODE_RC.DOS to NODE.RC.

	OPTIONS

Options are loaded from one of the following files (which
	are tried in this order):

	node.rc
	$HOME/.noderc
	/node.rc

When no config file exists, options are saved in

	$HOME/node.rc on DOS and in
	$HOME/.noderc on Unix systems.

When $HOME is undefined, the file

	./node.rc

is tried as a last resort.
