Austin College Splits with Ozarks and HPU

SHERMAN, Texas - The Austin College volleyball team earned a split in a pair of home matches Sunday at Hughey Gym, sweeping University of the Ozarks in straight sets before falling in a five-set thriller against Howard Payne University. Following Sunday's action, Austin College sits at 10-6 overall and 2-0 in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play thanks to its win over Ozarks.

Second Half Surge Lifts No. 12 Pirates Past 'Roos

SHERMAN, Texas - The Austin College men's soccer team battled nationally ranked Southwestern University through a scoreless first half Sunday afternoon before the No. 12 Pirates struck for three second-half goals to defeat the 'Roos 3-0 at the Dr. Jack R. Pierce Memorial Soccer Complex. With the loss, Austin College moves to 1-4-2 on the season, while Southwestern improves to 8-1.
