about

This project has been haunting me for 10 years now, and it was finally the right time and place in the world to see it through.

These songs deal with themes of the human struggle in all its forms: from gender roles to fundamentalist religion, from conspiracy theories to addiction, from the patriarchy to death itself.

This album has already given me the gift of catharsis, healing, and truth, and has sharpened my wit around acceptance, kindness, and beauty. Wit and fortitude that we'll certainly need during these next few years. Razor sharp.

May it bring a little something to you as well. That would make it all the better. Art is power in these times. But only if we let it.

Also, a massive thank you and love to so many of the other amazing women and queer folk making noisy cathartic music today, many of whom I've looked up to for a long time: Kim Gordon, HIDE, Youth Code, Venus in Aries, SINE, Bestial Mouths, I Speak Machine, Pharmakon, Lingua Ignota, Uboa, and so many more. ðŸ–Ī
