The registration rate includes: Four days of over 200 in-person sessions organized by Sections, the Annual Meeting Program Committee, and the AALS President; the Opening Plenary session with a keynote speaker; the classic Opening Reception; Exhibit Hall access; and morning and afternoon coffee breaks.
Payment
AALS accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover, as well as ACH E-Transfers and check. Payment information cannot be accepted by email.
If you are required to register using a paper registration form, contact [email protected] to request one. Paper registrations may be paid online by card or ACH, or by sending in a check.
Confirmation
You will receive an email confirming your online registration within a few minutes. If you register by paper form with a mailed check, you will receive a confirmation email once your check has been received and your registration processed.
Spouse/Partner Registration
The spouse/partner registration rate is available only for guests who are not affiliated with a law school. Faculty, staff, retired/emeritus members, and law students are not eligible for this rate.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation of a meeting registration must be submitted in writing no later than December 16, 2026, to receive a full refund of the registration fee.
Requests received after December 16, 2026, as well as no-shows to the Annual Meeting, are not eligible for refunds, unless there are severe extenuating circumstances, such as the hospitalization or passing of the registrant or an immediate family member.

Registration Substitutions
Registration substitutions are welcome. The person currently registered must send a written authorization asking to transfer their registration and must include the name of the person receiving the registration in their place. Requests may be sent via email to [email protected]. Requests must arrive at AALS by January 1, 2027.
Registration FAQ
In Group Registration, you can register:
- A group of people from your law school, including yourself
- A group of people from your law school, not including yourself
- A single person from your law school, other than yourself

No, single-day or per-session registration rates or passes are not available. The registration fee provides access to the entire Annual Meeting.
