Compact, Portable, and Burns Hot
I bought this rocket stove out of a necessity for being able to catch-clean-cook fish on the river while living in an area where Dakota Fire Holes and stacked rock(et) stoves weren’t feasible. Let me just say I was IMMEDIATELY impressed not just with how easy it was to set up, but how quickly coals formed for cooking, and how hot it got and stayed with hoe little wood I used. I do recommend processing your fuel down to .5-1” X 2-3” chunks. This makes it MUCH easier to add more fuel while you have a pan on top cooking food. It’s easy for larger pieces to get stuck on the 45deg slope and not totally in the combustion zone, a problem which the smaller chunks don’t have. Great value for money!
