Excellent visual dictionary for modelers and painters and great for horror movie fans!
Reviewed in the United States on February 5, 2026I have no clue what I paid for this. I bought it the second I saw it come up in the search results. I was born in the early 70's and was exposed to very little parental supervision and low parental guidance in terms of movies. The gist is I got to see some really sketchy things. I remember the Sinbad movies on rerun, watching Dr. Who on PBS on Sunday mornings. 70's - 90's produced some amazing innovation in cinema that continues to evolve. So, any movie, horror or sci-fi fan will like this. These were things absolutely no child should be allowed to watch that would give any kid nightmares for weeks. It was a time before helicopter parents, and it was magical.
I have been married a long time and I annoy my wife. She said I needed a hobby and I decided 3D resin printing and painting looked fun, so I really dug in and have been learning color theory, perspective, light, volumes, etc. I used to do plastic model kits in the 80's, that didn't help, and painting looks really easy on YouTube and it's not. It's still fun.
I have bought a lot of visual dictionaries over the past few years to have references as to what things really look like or are intended to look like. This is an excellent visual reference if you are into the horror sci-fi stuff.

Reviewed in Brazil on November 12, 2025O livro é ótimo. Lindas imagens, diagramação e arte. Textos maravilhosos.
No entanto, mais uma vez, o livro chega sem proteção, nem mesmo um plástico protetor. Livro veio com um rasgo ( detalhe na foto).
