THIS. BOOK. I cannot say enough good things about this book as I anxiously await The Home Wrecker. This book was so beautifully written and equal parts sexy and emotional. This is my third Sara Cate series (I also loved the Salacious Players Club and the Wilde Boys), and she does such a perfect job of crafting characters that make you want to hug them, slap them, and kiss them at the same time. The initial judgement both main characters cast on each other sets the tone for a journey of revenge, empathy, and salvation for them both individually and as a couple. The wholesome and spicy blend of these two is a perfect balance. I cannot recommend it enough!

I unexpectedly binge read this in one night and had the best time. Sara Cate's books always have a great balance of romance, spice, humor, and emotional depth. This was such a unique plot line, especially with Adam's character. As someone who has a unique perspective on what he goes through with his dad, I really liked how Sara Cate handled it and portrayed the worst (and very real) parts of contemporary churches. Didn't expect to get such a great commentary on that in a smutty romance book but I really appreciated it!

I am slowly reading more of Sara Cate's backlist and finding myself surprised with each book I read. I can't wait to read more!

I absolutely loved this book and am so excited for more in the series!

Right from the beginning of this book, we're thrown into this captivating situation with a twisted family dynamic that's impossible to resist.

Adam is a character with such a heavy burden on his shoulders, and when his motives are questioned, he ends up in a wild fake dating scenario with Sage. This leads to some major consequences for his life, turning everything he knows upside down.

The chemistry between Adam and Sage is off the charts! Watching them come together was an absolute delight. Their partnership was so hot it practically set my Kindle on fire! Seeing them get to know each other and fall in love while pretending for the camera was incredibly charming and heartwarming.

The story completely drew me in, even though the initial setup felt like a bit of a leap. But who cares? Sometimes a little suspension of disbelief is all part of the fun! I was more than happy to go along for the ride.

I can’t wait to see what’s next for this fallen family. If this book is any indication, we’re in for a spicy, thrilling journey filled with twists, turns, and plenty of heat. Buckle up, because it’s going to be an amazing ride!

Delicious, emotional & a great beginning to a NEW Sara Cate series!

When starting a new series from one of your favorite authors it is important that we go in with an open mind. I knew that there was going to be a small thread tied to SPC- but man is this universe so much more complex.
With most of Sara’s books there is a challenge within them that her characters face. Whether it be internal or external. Most I have found to be very relatable in some way. The Anti-hero kind of forced me to reflect on my journey within my religion and how that’s also shaped me & in some ways hindered me. It’s scary to think about it but man it was somewhat refreshing. Es-e- x and religion have never coexisted in a “healthy way” and the almost shame that is casted over es-e-x can be damaging for a person.
I found Adam and Sages journey refreshing, heartbreaking at times and dare I say cathartic.
I truly was not only invested in the MCs relationship & their journey- but also I thought Sara did a great job at plunging in some Easter eggs in there for “potential” future plots and characters. I say potentially bc theories are just theories hahaha 🤣 but regardless I became invested in the other characters through Adam and Sage. Im interested to see if they play a role in future books, because I feel like this is just the beginning.
This delivered all the spice and layers of emotions as most of Sara’s books do for me.
Highly recommend & I hope you soo enjoy this whole new ride we’re all about to venture on. 🍑

Say hello to The Goode Brothers in this exciting open of Sara's newest series! Wowza I don't even know where to start.

Our two MCs have a meet-cute at a diner in Austin, and their chemistry jumps right off the page. Sage is a fearless pink-haired woman who takes no bs (except from her ex, cause we can't all be perfect) who throws Adam for a loop because she's everything he never knew he needed.

We see Adam dismantle every single preconceived notion about religion after he finds out who his dad really is -- a stereotypical man in power -- and as difficult as it is to watch, it is so rewarding to see Adam grow as a person and reconcile that "nice guys" can have the type of relationship they want.

And Sage? We see her come into her own, stand up for what she wants, and unequivocally and without remorse shock half of Austin's most righteous and fight for the relationship she deserves. There's nothing more I love than watching FMC's stick it to those who don't believe in them, and Sage does not disappoint.

Add in some camera play for revenge (we are in our OF story era), a fake relationship that was never really fake to begin with, Sara Cate's touch of spice/clubs and a HFN that will turn into a HEA throughout the rest of the series and you get a book you can't put down/never want to put down and the start of a new age. Are you ready for it?
