How nice to buy a product that works GREAT, just like it claimed!
Sure, it's not metal, just plastic (except for the wire cutters). And you don't want to be smacking it around, or it could break. But I've used this several times now, and it works fine making slices, or wedges.
Neat little gizmo, at a good price.
EDITED TO ADD: I really liked this little egg slicer and it worked great for about 4 months. But alas and alack... one of the wires broke. Even with one missing, it still works fairly well. For the price, I guess I can't complain too much. I suppose you get what you pay for??

I am so disappointed.
I used this product 1 time and immediately noticed my hardboard egg did not get sliced all the way through. One of the wires is bent and loose causing uneven slicing. I didn't spend a lot of money for this as I rarely use this kitchen gadget. I would even take a replacement, but there's no option for this.
