I was building some shop carts for my planer and miter saw. I wanted to be able to move them around the garage easily but also be able to lock them in place. These fit the bill perfectly. They move around surprisingly well for their size, and I have an unfinished concrete garage floor. The locks work extremely well at holding my carts in place. I'd say the mechanism could be slightly easier to lock and unlock, but it's not too bad. I'm usually able to lock them with my foot but most of the time I need to unlock by hand, and it's very stiff but that's a good thing I suppose. I'd imagine that any mechanism designed to make the unlocking easier would add quite a bit of cost and I'd rather save the cash.
I bought 2 sets of the 2" casters for both my planer and my miter saw carts. If I did it over again, I'd probably go with much larger wheels for the miter saw cart, but only because I tend to wheel that one out of the garage because of the amount of dust it creates. Getting these small 2" wheels over obstacles is totally doable, but rough. I have to get down the lip at the edge of the garage, and over the crack between the garage slab and my concrete driveway, and it's quite the wobbly process with a big cumbersome cart and miter saw. The 2" casters do this as well as they can be expected to do, but bigger ones would have made this much easier.
I can't remember if I used the included screws or not, but I usually don't with this sort of thing. I tend to over-do it with screws and use ones that are stronger than necessary :)
The screwdriver is, of course, completely unnecessary, and I'd rather pay 50 cents less to not have it.

Double Ball Bearings

3" swivel casters - sturdy and stable under a tall narrow bookcase
My college-age son has one of those IKEA Kallax bookcases in his room. It's tall and narrow - about 58"H x 32"W or 150 cm tall x 80 cm wide. Normally it serves as a great divider in his room. WELL. He just bought one of those Oculus Rift S virtual reality headsets for gaming, which has turned out to be way cooler than anyone here expected it to be. When you have the headset on you are often standing, and lots of games make you feel like you're in another place. So when you hear a BANG! from the other side of the house, you know he just swung his arm straight into his bookcase because he's swinging a virtual weapon or grabbing an object in the game he's playing. So the bookcase had to move. But because it looks so cool where it usually is, and the added privacy it normally offers adds a little happiness to college pandemic life, it would be great if it could be moved back and forth easily. In comes the 3” caster test. Concerns about 3" casters rolling around a tall narrow bookcase - would the wheels be strong enough? YES - would the wheels allow the bookcase to move off and on the rug it's on easily? YES - would the wheels pivot well but not be crazy loose like a runaway shopping cart in a tornado? YES - good movement and not loose at all - would the bookcase be wobbly due to its shape or weight? NO - would the bookcase look weird because it's even taller than before? NO - would the height of the wheels allow a Roomba to get under the bookcase? YES The casters-plus-bookcase have been 100% perfect in every way. (Photos show the amount of stuff in the bookcase plus closer up of the wheels underneath). FOR SCREWS we used coarse thread screws (4 for each wheel), which have a wider gap between the threads than most other screws. They’re better at gripping things like the garbage MDF (aka wood particle board) the bookcase is made of. Only 3 of each 4 screws catch under the bookcase because of whatever filler is actually in the base of it, but it's fine. Very tight and solid. If you do a project just like this one it's a good idea to drill pilot holes first. Regarding small kids: As much as this whole thing is stable and non-wobbly, I wouldn't want something like a tall narrow bookcase on even the strongest locking wheels around very young children - that sounds like a recipe for disaster.
