  Exactly what I needed. I found it a bit pricey but it does hold a lot of things very cleanly. Love this. I don't think there was other better option for me.

  The cable management/backing looks really elevated. Mostly easy to install by yourself. It's a big improvement over the plastic cable that came with my standing desk that was constantly overflowing and bending down from the weight. I really like how it peaks over the end of my desk as well.

  I ordered this Under Desk Cable Management Tray to help clean up the clutter of cables on and around my desk. I have to say I wasn't sure about it upon taking it out of the box, but after installing it, it works great to tidy up my work area.

  I actually have an Ergo Collect adjustable desk, which I love. However, one issue I ran into was that when raising the desk to a standing position, everything plugged in on top gets raised as well. This requires enough slack in the cables to accommodate the height, which ends up making a bit of a mess underneath and behind the desk.

  This cable management tray is the perfect solution to that problem. I just ran a single main power cable into the tray itself and have everything else wired directly inside. If you have a complicated desk setup for music recording or multiple devices, lamps, etc., this will make your life much easier. My desk can be raised or lowered now without worrying about cables getting snagged underneath and damaging something.

  The assembly comes with two options: you can either use the provided clamps or drill holes into the desk to use the provided screws. I decided to just use the clamps, which was pretty straightforward and a lot easier than drilling into the desktop. The clamps are adjustable and fit perfectly on my 5/8" Ergo Collect desktop, but they're capable of accommodating much thicker surfaces as well. Overall, assembly took minimal time - maybe 20 to 30 minutes

  although I did have to remove everything from the desk to tip it up so I could see what I was doing.

  The tray itself is made of high-density felt, which IMO is a lot better than metal or plastic cable management systems.

  Why Synthetic Felt?

  Companies are switching to felt instead of clunky metal baskets for a few reasons. High-density synthetic felt is non-conductive, eliminating static risks around power strips. The thick, seamless fabric creates a clean aesthetic that completely hides power clutter from view, and the soft cushion is much more user-friendly...saving your shins and knees if you bump into it while moving around underneath.

  The felt also allows you to punch custom holes using an awl or screwdriver to run cables or mount charging blocks with zip ties or double-sided tape.The inner dimensions of the tray itself are about 5" wide by 6" in height, which provides plenty of space to mount large chargers or power blocks while giving them enough room to breathe and dispel heat. I also like the overlap of the tray behind the desk; it gives me space to mount things like USB hubs or cable organizers using Velcro tape, and it stops items from rolling or falling off the back of the desk.

  Overall, I really like this cable management tray. It looks great, and having a clean, organized workspace makes it so much easier to focus on the task at hand.

  I’ve been using this felt under-desk cable tray for a couple of weeks, and it honestly changed my workspace more than I expected. I bought it mainly thinking it would “help a little” with cable clutter, but it ended up completely cleaning up the whole underside of my desk in a way that makes the space feel calmer and more organized overall.

  The felt material surprised me right away. I expected something flimsy or saggy, but it actually feels sturdy and holds its shape really well. It has a clean, modern look that makes the whole desk setup feel more put-together instead of chaotic. Installation was also easier than I thought. I went with the clamp option so I didn’t have to drill, and it tightened down securely without scratching my desk. Took maybe five minutes and I was done.

  Once I started loading it up, I realized how much space it actually has. I was able to fit my monitor cables, laptop charger, USB hub, and even a power strip without it feeling stuffed or messy. The felt kind of “cradles” everything, so nothing rattles or shifts around. I also liked the tablet/laptop slot—my iPad sits in there nicely while charging without sliding or wobbling.

  Another thing I noticed is how quiet it is. There’s no metal clanking or scraping when I bump the desk, and it visually hides the cables instead of just “containing” them. It also lifts everything off the floor, which makes cleaning under the desk way easier and helps keep dust and tangles under control.

  What I liked:

  Really strong storage capacity for cables, power bricks, and hubs

  Soft felt material looks clean and modern while staying sturdy

  Easy clamp installation (no drilling needed)

  Quiet and visually hides cable clutter well

  Handy tablet/laptop slot is actually useful

  What I’m not crazy about:

  Felt will probably collect dust over time and need occasional vacuuming

  Large size might be more than needed for smaller desks

  Overall, this is one of those simple upgrades that makes a bigger difference than you expect. If your cable situation has been slowly driving you crazy, this cleans it up fast and makes your workspace feel a lot more organized and comfortable to use.

  Cleaner desk with hidden power cords

  This tray helped clean up the area behind my monitor where the cords were hanging down and touching my legs. Before using it, the power bar sat on the floor, and every cable dropped straight from the back of the desk. Now most of that is tucked underneath, so the floor is easier to vacuum and the desk looks less messy from the doorway.

  The felt sides hide the larger plugs better than an open wire basket. I keep one power bar, two laptop adapters, a monitor block, and extra cable length inside. There is still some room left, but fitting everything neatly takes a little arranging because the larger blocks tend to sit on top of each other.

  I used the clamp option since I did not want holes in the desktop. The brackets took a few minutes to line up, and tightening them evenly helped the tray sit straight. It has remained steady during normal desk use.

  One concern is the long length. It fits my wide desk, but it may be too large for a smaller table. The felt also bends slightly where the heaviest adapter rests. It has not caused a problem, though the bottom does not stay perfectly flat.

  Overall, it keeps the main cable mess out of sight and gives the area under my desk a much cleaner appearance.

  Pros

  - Keeps cords away from the floor

  - Clamp setup avoids desk holes

  - Holds several work accessories

  Cons

  - May be oversized for small desks

  - Heavy blocks can bend the felt
