I absolutely love this hair waver! It heats up quickly and is super easy to use, even if you’re not experienced with styling tools. The design makes it simple to create consistent, beautiful waves in just a few minutes.
What impressed me the most is how long the waves last. My hair usually doesn’t hold styles very well, but with this tool, the waves stayed in place all day without needing much hairspray. It also doesn’t snag or pull my hair, which is a huge plus.

I deducted a star for a few reasons. First for the weird smell that always lingers after I am done. I don’t know what it is but some have likened it to burnt hair. I don’t think it smells like burnt hair but it’s not exactly pleasant either.
Works great- needs a few changes to make it 5 stars!

The other thing I deduct for is how heavy it is. I mean don’t get me wrong, it does the job well but it weighs more than my blow dryer and any other hair curlers / tools which is just weird. I don’t know why it needs to be so heavy.
The last thing I deduct for is that it gets really hot to touch so if you try to hold it with your other hand around the clamp for extra support if you touch it anywhere besides the little skinny gray pads at the top of the device you will burn the crap out of your fingers. You may as well make at least half the outside of the clamp end the heat resistant rubber.
The actual crimping and the way my hair holds it is the reason I still love this product. I can go three days without washing my hair and it holds the waves perfectly!

There weren’t much reviews from black women with pictures on this item so I took a gamble.
I have 4A hair texture and I used the 1 inch waver/crimper after already having my hair straightened for a week and just wanted to add some waves/texture to change it up.
After reading reviews I didn’t want to turn the temp up too high. I achieved the look in the picture using the 300 temperature setting for a 10 second hold.
I would have liked more pronounced waves and had to go over some sections more than once and probably could have turned the heat higher to prevent having to go over a few sections but didn’t want to damage my hair.
Now it did work. But it still gave that “flat iorn” smell other reviews have mentioned and I just used some olaplex oil after I was finished and it help with the smell and the next day the smell was completely gone.
CONS: I will say that the timer is iffy didn’t always sound after 10 seconds, the waver itself could open up wider to make it easier to grab sections, and it sometimes snags hairs between the plates and plastic body of the waver
PROS: timer (when working- worked most of the time), quick heat, easy to handle, works for 4A hair texture, only took 15 mins to do whole head (I have thin hair), has rubber guards/grips on the edge of the iron so you don’t burn your fingers and they act as grips so the iron doesn’t slide on the counter or burn it (this was a nice touch).
All in all, I do like it and will continue to use it
