Honestly, I loved this self-tanner. It's a mousse, super easy to apply (I used it with a mitt), and the best part is that it doesn't smell strong like others I've tried. The color looks natural, like a golden tan, not orange at all.

It dries quickly and doesn't leave you feeling sticky. I applied it at night and the next day I already had that healthy glow. Perfect if you don't want to go out in the sun but still want that tanned look.

It's difficult to find a self tanner that 1.) results in an even, natural looking tan and 2.) doesn't result in a scent comparable to that of a degenerate Sun Tan City.

Because of the positive reviews on Beauty by Earth's products, I gave it a go. I did buy a kabuki brush (a less expensive one on amazon - just search kabuki brush- I got a $6 one that works beautifully)

A couple things to note when considering this product ---

1.) I bought Fair to Medium because it's January and your girl's translucent. Wondering if I should have gotten Med-Dark. I have dark blonde hair + green eyes. Do tan easily in summer, but pretty pale in winter. The Fair to Medium did result in a bit of an orange hue after application 1. I applied a second time a day later, and this helped immensely! If you're debating.. maybe try Med-Dark as I do believe it's their original formula anyhow.

2.) The smell. During application, smells great - vanilla-y. Give it a couple hours? And you smell like you bathed using every other self tanning product out there.. clean ingredients or not. Knowing DHA works on everyone's hormones differently, I share this with a little reservation since it may not affect everyone the same!

With those 2 things to consider - Rating of 4/5. Positives:

*Does NOT transfer. We have white sheets- I put this on before bed + 0 transfer praise

*The mousse goes on clear and somehow the tan was even- not one splotchy area. Perhaps this is the kabuki brush's work?? but highly recommend for this reason!

*The second application of Fair-Med mousse did give me a much more natural looking glow than just one application, as a note***

*The scent during application is nice and light

General note --- This product is a cleaner, inexpensive option that will result in a glow and not cause hassle in terms of staining sheets, clothes, etc. Somewhat fool proof - so long as you don't mind the scent later!
