Kalamkari is a type of hand-painted cotton textile produced in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. Only natural dyes are used in Kalamkari, which involves twenty-three steps. There are two distinctive styles of Kalamkari art in India – Machilipatnam style and Srikalahasti style. Digital textile printing is described as any ink jet based method of printing colorants onto fabric. The cotton saree is an absolute gem of a wardrobe piece for women in the summertime.
