Makes peeling and slicing so easy!
This guy is so cool! I’ve never had an Apple peeler or slicer and this does both! My kids love to help, and it’s made peeling and slicing apples so easy. It took me a few minutes to figure out how it worked, since I’ve never used one. The instructions are okay but not great... but I figured it out :) it has a nice suction cup bottom- and it works well. The peeler is nicely made, it’s not cheap by any means!

What a great tool. Using it had me feeling like I was back in the mid 1800's ! Just like the mouse trap, this invention just works and no need in my opinion, to spent big bucks on something fancier. Appears to be constructed well though I expect the blade and some of the smaller hardware will come loose after a while and or fall off the solid main frame. Suction cups hold well, though my experience with suction cups is iffy. Maybe keeping the cups pliable with rubber lubricant or veg oil might help them to last.

In any case, peeling apples for my wife, so she can make that wonderful pie of hers, is quick, easy and fun. No longer a chore.

My kids love apples but they prefer no skin and they eat them better if they are smaller pieces and this apple peeler is perfect. Peels the apples nicely and cores them AND slices them up in spirals. We have eaten a lot of apples lately.
If you don’t want it to slice and core it’s easy to take the bolt holding the slicer/corer off. I did just that and was curious to see how good it peeled potatoes. Let me tell you, it’s awesome! Just push the potato on the 3 prongs and start cranking. I only used one hand in the video and it was so smooth and easy. I am now going to be using this to peel the potatoes all the time.
I am excited to use this to make apple pies. Will make the whole peel, slice, and core process much quicker!

I wanted this toy for a long time, but didn't get it until now. I noticed that some people said the suction did' not work. I tried the suction on a wooden cutting board and it didn't work on the wooden one but did on the glass. I had to flip the glass cutting board to the smooth side, also you have to hold down the cutter with one hand and flip the handle at the same time. Putting the corer in position was hard, I had to use a pair pliers to loosen the wing nut, it was on very tight, and position the corer then tighten the wing nut again. So it worked as described. I peeled a potato, and an apple as you can see in picture. The potato needed to have the eyes of the potato cut out with a knife, but if you don't care about that, I don't so I just left the eyes on the potato. The apple peeler worked okay and got most of the skin off, and removed the core nicely. Also cheated because I went to You tube for a video. That helped a lot because I am very visual, and don't follow well with the manual which could have shown better pictures. So anyway this was a want buy not a need buy. I like this toy and hope to use it a lot.

My wife is disabled and holding an apple is a challenge for her. Peeling and slicing apples takes a bit for me. This peeler/corer changes everything! In much less time and with much less effort, I have a spiral cut apple easy for her to break off in chunks as she desires.

The instruction are a joke. Lots of misspelled words. Looks like someone not familiar with the English language wrote it... and they failed miserably! It took a while for us to figure out that you have to pull back the screw auger device to load the apple. A couple of pictures on the instruction sheet would solve that.

The suction cup even on clean granite isn't that good but it isn't hard to hold with one hand and turn the lever with the other. And... the final product is just right! We love it!

it works just like it suppose to,,it suction cups hold it down really good, doesn't slip or slide around,,U stab the apple on the prongs then off it goes, it cranks and spins the apple w/ easy, and peels and cores, it's the most awesome thing when U first use it, cause it makes U wonder why U have done life without it..all U have to do after the apple is peeled/cored, is slice it to the size U want,,makes making a pie so simple,,U can make it not core, just peel, I haven't put a tater in it put think it would peel taters easily too..glad I bought it,,was fair priced to

I got this for my adult daughter to use while processing apples for canning.

It's an utter waste of money and resulted in substantial injuries to her hand while using it. It's actually more accident inspiring than just using a knife or the old fashioned corer/slicers that have been around for ages.

    Here's the breakdown on it.

First of all, it came with one blade, and I understood that it would have more options. Maybe I was wrong, but the end result was that for peeling, it was worthless. It removed a thin ribbon of peel, which is fine, except it left an equal sized piece of unpeeled apple in between, which meant going back and trying to remove that peeling after the apple has been cored and sliced. Not a time saver and certainly more tricky than just peeling the apple would be.

The corer--it removed a cylinder of apple from the interior. Sounds great in theory, but lining up the core exactly on the apple is difficult. Removing the apple for a second try is hazardous--it resulted in stab wounds from the recoil of removing the well-stuck apple from the very sharp three prongs that hold it for the entire process. Both the coring blade and the prongs eventually caused wounds, both of which bled profusely, though did not need more than normal home first aid. The recoil is unavoidable from removing the apple before peeling, slicing and coring. The only blade that can be moved out of the way is the peeler blade.

Overall, the only function worth anything was the slicing, and even that was deemed not worth the rest of the hassle. The apples had to be peeled before the coring and slicing, then the remaining core had to be removed after the corer failed to self center. While the machine can't be blamed entirely for that, as cores are rarely cylindrical and perfectly centered, the difficulty in lining them up for even most of the core was deemed too dangerous to try to re-center it.

Just buy the manual push down corer-slicer and a good ergonomic peeler. You'll be happier in the long run with a tool that works for more than just the one thing, unless you have your heart set on having spiral cut apples. (The spiral cut apples still had to be cut again to make slices for apple pie filling anyhow.)

The product is sturdy. It suctioned well to the baking tray we used to hold it and catch the peels and apple bits, which made clean up easy. It never moved until we released the lever. However, the peeler blade it came with was U shaped, and the thin ribbon left an equally sized thin ribbon of apple behind, making the peeling function largely useless unless you want apple peels in your end product. DO NOT remove the apple from the prongs once you have placed it there, no matter how careful you think you will be--it's not worth the resulting injuries (and bloody apples to toss out) to try and get it centered better.
