Oddly sewn but flattering, pretty summer dress
What a nice summer dress! From the description, I wasn't sure what I would get - a T shirt dress or a swing dress. I was delighted when I put the dress on. This dress hangs well and has flare! I see why they call it a "swing dress" - the dress "swings" around my hips. And its has roomy pockets! I'm not sure why they call it a T Shirt dress, because its not made like a T-Shirt at all. The body of the dress flares out while T-shirts are straight. Also, the fabric is a stretchy knit that's not like T-shirt fabric but more like a knit top. The fabric could be dressed up expect for the way its sewn. What makes this dress "casual" is that the seams are exposed on the outside of the dress. In other words, unfinished seams that would normally be seen on the inside of the dress, show on the outside. This is a "look" and its fine for casual, sporty clothes, but 1) it doesn't fit the dressier fabric so much, and 2) the hem and the sleeve seams don't look all that great exposed. It kind of looks like someone forgot to turn the dress after stitching the seams and finished it inside out. I'm still going to wear it... a lot... because its comfortable, flattering and versatile. Being on the plus side of sizes, I'm very happy that this flare style hides my bulges and is slimming. I got my usual size and its fits just right. I like the length (just above the knee), the fabric and the style. Its a cute look and the dress is cool and comfortable.
