A culmination of over two years of Research & Development, in partnership with top pickleball pros, the Selkirk Vanguard Power Air pickleball paddle addresses the need for both power and spin. As professional pickleball became increasingly focused on power and spin over the past 2 years, the larger community discovered the benefits of power and spin, especially when it comes to dominating opponents. VANGUARD Power Air technology was developed to champion these players and provide a paddle that enables full control of the court, with performance power and maximum spin. The first iteration of this technology was developed in Selkirk Labs and launched as Project 002. Utilizing Labs member feedback, Power Air optimizes the 002, providing additional control from the SuperCore, enhanced consistency with 360° Proto Molding, and next-level aerodynamics and edge durability with Aero-DuraEdge Edgeless technology.

      1st impression after 2 hrs of play:
      Soft touch provides excellent control. But paddle firms up on hard hits to deliver better than expected power. Definitely a control paddle leaning all court. Lightweight, maneuverable, quick in hands for NVZ play.
      This paddle lists for $230 so at $150 it's a great deal !
      Note: I added 4.5 inches of 1/2 gm per inch weighted tape each side to improve stability, sweetspot, power, and dinks

      2nd day after 2 more hours:
      My regular group all commented on how well I played today. I blame this paddle!
      dinks were a breeze but most impressive was the resets. I was able to return several hard overheads with ease.
      Control and accuracy are so good that it builds confidence to try "those other" shots, angles, etc
      I didn't miss a serve- they were easily placed deep in court with good top spin.
      Again I was surprised at the amount of pace I could generate with a full swing - serves/drives - usually control = no power, but this one delivers!
      Selkirks best paddle (before Boomstick) !
      If you want the control of the Luxx with more offense, then this may be the one for you !
