The pictures make this look more like a muted darker red. This is PRIMARY COLOR RED. Which is fine, but I don’t usually like to wear a bright red. It was very flattering and can be worn in warmer weather, with jeans, or as a swimsuit cover up. Husband was a HUGE fan. I ordered a large as I tend to like a looser feel without being baggy. I could have done well with a medium. I’m 5’ 4”, 135ish, hourglass.

I sized down (because open cardigans are generally larger) and the fit was perfect. It will pack easily and not wrinkle. I initially ordered it as a duster-type cover up for my bathing suit. I'm going on a cruise in a few weeks, so i wanted something to wear when going to the beach and for walking around the pool area to get ice cream (cruisers, if you know, you know! Lol). I didn't even realize how versatile this was. It not only makes a great beachy cover-up; it dresses up a regular outfit too! It gives it a little extra flare. If you like a little something to cover your arms when wearing something sleeveless, this gives perfect and modest coverage! I'm surprised at how much I like this item and did not expect to like it this much. I ordered a generic black, but I'm probably going to order a more fun color to spice up my boring outfits. I really love this item!
