This product has given me fantastic results after just a little over a week of use. I’ve been dealing with random breakouts and stubborn visible pores on my nose for a couple of years now and nothing seemed to help. I started using this retinol daily after my shower and I have had no breakouts, my pores are no longer an issue, my complexion seems more even and smooth in general, and even the faint lines starting to appear on my forehead have almost disappeared entirely. I was not expecting such dramatic results this quickly so I am very pleased and will be using this product religiously from now on. Just for context, I use a biore charcoal face wash in the shower, I apply the retinol immediately after getting out, and just a few minutes later I follow up with a face moisturizer/sunscreen combo. The retinol does not take long to absorb completely and does not leave any oily or greasy feeling. Love this product and it’s not overly expensive!

I've struggled for years with hormonal acne and the scarring that comes after. It also doesn't help that I have combo skin, so it's particularly difficult to find skin care products that won't irritate my face. I've been using the CeraVe Resurfacing Retinol Serum for about 6 months now and it's been an absolute game changer. I've seen a significant reduction in my acne scars. They're now much smaller in size + lighter in color, and some of them have completely vanished. This serum also doesn't irritate my face or cause my skin to peel.

Something to note is that you have to use it frequently to see results. At minimum, I use the serum once a day in the morning. I started seeing major results after about 3 months of daily usage. Overall, an amazing product that I can't recommend enough.

I am a 34 year old man who developed pretty bad acne because of some medication I was taking, along with poor health decisions. This resulted in bad acne, scarring, and marks on my face. I found this product here, trusted in the reviews, and ordered several bottles. Within 3 days I started to notice an immediate difference. Now, 5 months later of NIGHTLY APPLICATION, my face is 90% better, I would say. This product is incredible and works much better than I expected. I still apply this nightly, along with face lotion on top, to keep treating some remaining scars (they are getting better). Just keep this product away from your eye area because it will dry out the sensitive skin. Personally, I paired this with a collagen peptide supplement and my skin is so much better. Give this product a shot!

This retinol serum has a lightweight texture that spreads easily and absorbs quickly into the skin. It layers well with other skincare products and doesn’t feel heavy or greasy after application.

With regular use, my skin started to look smoother and more even in tone. The formula feels fairly gentle for a retinol product, although it can cause slight dryness at first, so using a good moisturizer alongside it is helpful.

Works great on my skin and it was a pleasant surprise how to bottle works. I got to the end of my serum and I was like " I will pop the top off and get the remander that is stuck" the whole thing is vacuumed! As you pump the bottom of the bottle rises and wipes the sides clean and there was barely anything left. I got barely one more use out of it. But man was I excited that they took the time to think about the best way to engineer the bottle!

I think everybody should have a retinol. If you get into it, it really helps. This one has helped with some marks on my face and acne. Especially helps in the hormonal areas on my face. Which other products don't really help with a lot. It's a good retinol that I think people with acne should use. My face has gotten a lot clearer.

This stuff is amazing. You cant ask for a better price with an effective formula.

I am on my second bottle and I hardly ever finish a whole bottle of something. I have gotten botox in the past and I havent had botox in over 9 months thanks to this little bottle. Took care of some fine lines, improved texture and lightened sun spot and a scar. Formula isnt sticky and absorbs quickly.

I gave this 3 stars because I still believe it's likely a good quality product. However, for me, the 2 stars I deducted are because it broke me out. A lot.

I followed the suggestions on not using it too frequently to start, especially since it did immediately give me one, then 2 acne bumps. I tried it 3-4 times over the course of a couple of weeks with several days between each application, but ultimately ended up with at least 5 very red, very visible pimples -- one on my right cheek, left cheek, chin, upper lip, and between my eyebrows. Now, how do you hide that? And they came after I stopped using it. On another note, I read more on it and found that it can happen because of a "purge" type effect, but (a) when is a good time for multiple, big pimples, and (b) when I get them, they aren't simple. They fester and are angry, and they don't just calm down and go away. They're problematic for weeks. For reference, I have had off and on issues with adult acne over the years, but I figured out what bothers my skin and haven't had pimple issues for about a year now, so I know it's this and possibly this along with another CeraVe product I tried -- PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion. (I'll note here that I got a couple of other items but didn't apply them to these areas, so I'm pretty sure it's not those. Those others include CeraVe Renewing Vitamin C Eye Cream and Renewing Eye Cream for Wrinkles.) I've used the PM Lotion before and had an occasional breakout, but wasn't sure if it was that or other acne issues I had during that time. However, I can say with almost certainty that this Serum is a or the reason for my current breakouts.

I've attached 6 pictures to show the breakouts/pimples I have that are still healing over a week after discontinuing use so you'll get an idea and see that these aren't typical acne, breakout-area bumps but instead, are in spots you don't usually get individual, stand-alone bumps. No makeup, of course. Vulnerable and full face disclosure, so no gasps! lol

If you want to try this, definitely do only one area for a week or so to see how you'll react, rather than risk acne all over your face. Perhaps try your forehead only, or your chin only, etc. I really wish it didn't affect me like it did. I don't have super-sensitive skin; only somewhat sensitive skin, with only a few products. So take that into account when you consider this product for yourself. I really wanted to embrace this one because with my aging skin, I would love to find a product that can help smooth things out.

I recommend for sensitive skin and who start to use retinol cerave retinol is best for sensitive skin

I was hesitant to order it at first as I'm not sure if it will work with my oh so sensitive skin. But it really is effective! Been using it just over a few days and I can definitely feel that my face is more smooth and pores has shrunk! I guess it really is worth the hype!!
